Enjoy a 3-hour fjord cruise from Bergen to the stunning Alversund Stream and experience the magnificent and varied fjord landscapes in the Nordhordland region.
This round-trip cruise departs all year from the Børshopen pier in the city center. When sailing out from Bergen's famous Fish Market you will have a great view to some of the oldest and most relevant historical sites in the city, including the medieval fortress Bergenhus, St Mary's church and the colorful Bryggen Hanseatic wharf, which is on UNESCO’s world heritage list.
From there, we sail through beautiful Western Norwegian scenery in the City Fjord, Salhus Fjord and Kverna Fjord towards the spectacular Alversund Streams. A basic boat ride out of the harbor. We had already seen most of the area where the boat went. Would be better for first time visitors to Bergen.

Not worth the price. There is no commentary on what are you seeing, the prices of the snacks offered are extremely over the average and very, very poor service. If you have the opportunity to do another cruise arround the Fjords, go do that, because the views are amazing. However, this one in particular is extremely pricey (having in mind what it offers) and booring long.

A reasonable price on a small boat in a beautiful setting produced a very worthwhile three hour experience.
Slowly moving through the fjord gave us a unique opportunity to view an environment rarely seen elsewhere.
One needs to arrive early to insure a seat on the tour.

The views were beautiful and weather was really good. Unfortunately, other than that, it was quite average. The guide (or rather the voice from the loudspeakers on the boat) told us basic stuff from Wikipedia about the places we were passing by, which could have been an advantage if only the boat was not slow. And I get it, it makes sence to focus on the spectacular fjord views, not the mildly interesting facts. So when it became obvious that the sole decent thing this tour had to offer was the scenery, I felt we could have gone for a longer trip for that price. Not prolonged trip, but lengthened.
I guess safety on board was well-thought of, necessary equipment was present and my wife and I felt safe on the boat. People around us were tourists and locals, the staff was ok, we were allowed to go down on the lower deck on the fore side of the boad, where we could feel the cool wind with some sence of movement, and hide from the sun.
My suggestion would have been to lower the price or make the cruise through more places. Maybe other faster boat/ship would be great. But with all of that now I would not recommend it.

Nasty crew, nasty ride. I would not recommend this. You can do so much more in Bergen, the fish market was nicer and more interesting.

We were so lucky to have beautiful weather, it was a very picturesque trip, could have done with more commentary, but a pleasant three hours to get a small taste of the Fjords.

I didn’t have time for the full day to the real deal fjord as most of imagine them so I opted for this. I’m glad I did it to see more of beautiful Norway but it is a bit slow. The return is better than the trip out, in my opinion. I was glad the route showed different stuff out and back. The very beginning is good but then there’s about an hour of just slowly going by the houses along the shore. An interesting bridge and beautiful countryside but I found myself hoping it would go faster. On the way back it seemed to keep my attention much more. If the weather hadn’t been so beautiful, I think I would have been a bit more annoyed.
I would not recommend this for families with teenagers. All of the ones on board were less than interested. They weren’t complaining because they had their phones. Of course, that’s typical but I wouldn’t call it a value for them.

Weather was beautiful and warm. The cruise was relaxing with nice landscapes passing by. But if you are looking for spectacular scenery and an information packed experience this is not it. Rather the cruise was enjoyable but forgettable.

Here's why Viator gets 5 stars. As much as we wanted to go on the trip our flights and transfer to our hotel were delayed by 5 hours. I used What's App to connect with Viator and they were so responsive and helpful. First by moving the time for us and then when we knew we just weren't going to make it by immediately refunding our money. This is a company I want to stick with!
