You will travel through different scenarios, some more wooded, others more austere and with mirrors of water until you reach Laguna de los Tres.
The first 4 kilometers will be to warm up, with an incredible view of the Río de las Vueltas Valley, crossing forests and streams, until meeting Laguna Capri.
Then they will continue along the same path until km 8, where they will find Camping Poincenot and the Rio Blanco.
The most difficult kilometers begin at Camping Poincenot. In this instance, we recommend paying attention to the schedule, since it will take approximately 4 hours to go down to the town from Laguna de los Tres.

If you are staying in El Calafate but don't want to miss the trek to Laguna de Los Tres, I recommend this tour.
The trail is self-guided, and the agency provides a driver who takes you to the entrance to the Fitz Roy trail in El Chalten. The trail is very difficult and requires a lot of physical preparation. But it's worth every second!
The only negative point is that you can barely enjoy Laguna de Los Tres, because the driver picks us up at a specific time and we can't be late. We didn't even have time to enjoy the view, as we needed to rush back to avoid losing the van.
