It was great visiting the Elephant Orphanage and Giraffe Center. It was fun feeding the giraffes and watching the elephants get fed. I would strongly recommend that folks traveling in groups find a way to secure their own transportation to both venues because organizers on Viator overcharge. We paid $90 (entry fee to the Giraffe Center and transportation to both locations) +$45 (just the entrance to Elephant Orphanage) per person = $135.

For a non-resident entry fee to the Giraffe Center, it's 1,500 KSH ~ $11 USD; the Elephant Orphanage is $45. You can find Uber for o/a $11 one way. So you end up paying $124 extra.

The Giraffe Centre and Elephant Orphanage were both great places to visit. It was very cool to see the animals up close. I definitely recommend visiting these locations.

The tour itself was a bit disorganised particularly in regard to the paying for entry to the national park. I had set up an E-Citizen account prior to the tour as I had read the other reviews but couldn’t pay for it as I didn’t have the necessary information to fill out the online form prior to the tour. Both myself and another person on the tour contacted the tour company about what to do prior but didn’t receive a response. We stopped at an art gallery that had free wifi on the way to the park but we ran into issues. When myself and another person attempted to pay, we kept getting a “payment not yet confirmed” response. Some people at the park gate were able to assist with this, apparently we needed to switch off “block pop ups” on our phones. About 30-45 minutes was spent trying to process this. It was pretty frustrating and should have been explained when the tour was booked.

There was also an issue with the car. The seat I was in was very wobbly and moved around a lot and the seatbelt was broken. It felt very unsafe.

Not much considering the expenses and the time we put in. It took us one and half hours to get the payment through in going to the elephant orphanage. I am referring to the National Park fee. In the end we could only enjoy the show for just 30 min. They didn't allow us to go in unless we had paid electronically and there was no other way of paying even though we had paid for the entrance fee.ln the end pay 12,000 Kes in cash. I feel just so unfair to me. I'm really disappointed and upset.

It was a great experience! Loved the feeding of the orphaned elephant part and the possibility for an elephant adoption.

This was such a fun tour with Stephen!
Perfect way to kick off my trip in Kenya. Stephen picked me up from my lodging and the first stop was the Elephant Sanctuary. He walked me to the perfect viewing spot for photos. Then we went to the giraffe center! I was traveling by myself, but Stephen made sure to get all the photos for me! Lastly we stopped at a local bead factory where I bought some souvenirs. Great day, thanks Stephen!

This tour was really great, and well worth getting up early for. Our guide Steven got us there promptly to avoid all the crowds and queues. He even told us where to stand to get the best pictures. Highly recomended.

This was the adventure of a lifetime. You can hand fees the giraffes and pet the elephants. They have a 1 year old baby black rhino at the orphanage as well. It is a must do!!! My tour guide Stephen was very nice, knowledgeable and professional!!!

Would have been ok if we had gone, but due to flights cancellation we were unable to go. We did request a day change, but Viator could or would not change it, no refund or credit offered.
