Local professional English-speaking private driver. Pompeii is a vast archaeological site, it is so large that you can easily get lost inside. Once a flourishing and sophisticated Roman city, Pompeii was buried under meters of ash and pumice by the catastrophic eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD The site is constantly evolving thanks to the continuous excavations that offer new discoveries every year. A professional private guide is highly recommended to be able to visit it better in detail in relaxation in its most important structures. The guide is on request will help you skip the long lines at the ticket office and is not included in the tour price. A 2 hour stop is foreseen. The transfer to Naples after the visit to the excavations will last around 30/40 minutes, depending on where the arrival point is located, traffic permitting.
It is also possible to leave from Rome and arrive in Naples.

Giorgio is the genuine Italian experience - hospitable, a little flamboyant and full of good humour. He picked us up, took us to Pompeii and then to a first class lunch to remember. Highly recommended!

Mr. Jose was incredibly accommodating, smooth driver, and overall clean and professional serviceman. Would choose this service over and over again to transport us anywhere in Italy.

Fantastic driver. Passionate and knowledgeable about people and helping. We rented the van for 3 adults and 2 kids. Very comfortable and roomy. Our 5 bags fit nicely behind the last row and there was room for more. When it got warm, the AC kicked on. When it got cold, he turned the AC down. He accommodated our requests with a cheery attitude the entire time. He communicated with our host in Sorrento and the 2 coordinated the better road to park. 3 Hours to lunch in Pompeii, and a few more exploring the ruins, made the trip quite enjoyable to our final destination: Sorrentum. He organized a deeply knowlegeable guide for Pompeii, who smiled to her eyes as she shared the history. I booked him again for a different trip to drive us throughout the Amalfi coast a few days later.

We had pleasant and comfortable drive from Sorrento to Rome, including a quick but comprehensive city tour of Naples. Vincenzo was great - courteous, efficient and friendly.

Our driver was excellent. The car was clean and comfortable. When we got to Rome our hotel entrance was in a very small street. The driver made sure we were received before he left us.
