Local professional English-speaking private driver. Pompeii is a vast archaeological site, it is so large that you can easily get lost inside. Once a thriving and sophisticated Roman city, Pompeii was buried under meters of ash and pumice from the catastrophic eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD. The site is constantly evolving thanks to the continuous excavations that offer new discoveries every year. A professional private guide is highly recommended to be able to visit it better in detail in relaxation in its most important structures. The guide is on request to help you skip the long lines at the ticket office and is not included in the tour price. A 2 hour stop is foreseen. The transfer to the Amalfi coast after the visit to the excavations will last around 90/120 minutes.
On request it is also possible a 1 hour lunch break for a pizza, or in a famous family house to taste a set Menu (all inclusive) with traditional local food, drinks, wine, dessert.

We had the BEST experience with Vincenzo!! He does this job because he is so passionate about sharing his love and knowledge of the area with his customers. Couldn’t have asked for a better person to take us from Sorrento to Rome, and stop at Pompeii and Mount Vesuvius on the way. He’s the best!!

Our Naples’ local driver quickly made us comfortable. He willingly accommodated a short stop to take a photo of Naples Bay from the base of Mount Vesuvius! He got us to the airport hotel without any issues. Thank you.

I needed a driver from Positino to Rome, but I needed a van due to our luggage.
Fabio came to our rescue! He spoke fluent English and was an excellent driver! The drive was approximately 4 hours and Fabio took the time to stop at a rest stop so we could stretch our legs.
I’m a nervous Nelly, when I’m not driving, but Fabio’s calming personality made me relax.

Was picked up from Rome and taken to Sorrento. The ride was wonderful and easy. Definitely the best way to get between these cities, Enzo is a great driver. Will be back!
