We met Renato this morning for a walking tour of Porto. He was on time, professional and greeted my wife and I with a smile and even a bottle of water! After introductions he asked us what we would like to see and also gave us an overview of what he planned for us. He was extremely knowledgeable about Portugal history and shared much of it with us. All the while being accommodating and ensuring we were comfortable and happy with the details he was sharing. We walked all over the city and we talked wine, Porto, and its place in history. At the end he asked us if we were happy with the tour and sent us an email with additional suggestions for food, entertainment, shopping and additional places to stop in Porto. You should definitely ask for Renato if you are considering a walking tour of Porto. He’s a great guy!

Renato was a perfect guide, with excellent English, a detailed knowledge of history, and a great interest in showing us wonderful eating opportunities and talking about wines and ports. We walked all through central Porto, saw many classic buildings, and collected insider tips and details the big tours don’t tell you. He also asked us what we
liked and adjusted the tour to fit our interests, giving us options as we went along, totally customizing the experience. We wish we could have done more tours with Renato through other parts of the city as well, and we will do that when we return!

Today we had a tour with Renanto and he not only met our expectations, but exceeded them by far.
We arrived 10 minutes early for our tour and he was already there. He first of all gauged our knowledge of Portugese history (which was not very much) and then proceeded to take us through the history of Portugal, giving us lots of funny stories, taking us to so many amazing places, helping us avoid tourist traps and giving amazing recommendations of places to go and eat and drink like a local. After our tour we went to somewhere he directed us to and we feel we won't get better Portugese food than this.
We are delighted to have met Renato and especially to have done a tour with him on the first day as he helped us avoid so many tourist traps we might otherwise have fallen in to.
I cannot recommend this tour highly enough, just book and make sure you do it for your first full day in Porto.

Renato was an fabulous tour guide. He not only showed us so much of Porto but also included great history about the history of Portugal, which was great! We had a excellent time and would recommend his tour services to all of our friends traveling to Porto. Doing the walking tour was such a great way to get to know the city when we first arrived. He also went out of his way to give us some great recommendations for the rest of our time in the city. Overall fantastic. Would recommend 10/10!

Renato was a really great guide. Our family of 3 had a lot of fun. Renato is proud of his Portuguese heritage and was full of historical & cultural knowledge. He even sent us a list of Porto recommendations. The bottled waters on a very hot day were appreciated. Book with Renato, you won’t be disappointed.

We spent the day with Renato (and Alex) touring our North American customers through Porto. Not only was he extremely knowledgeable, but he was able to deliver a custom experience for every person in our large group making stops according to requests, filling us with the just right amount of history, and doing it all with pleasant disposition. I wish I could have Renato on every tour! AND he takes great group photos!

Historian, philosopher and an amazing tour guide. In about 3 hours, Renato gave us an amazing overview of Porto history, neighborhoods, monuments, and buildings. We even had a few minutes to stop for a quick taste of the best Pasteis de Nata in town. We did a tour with just two of us and Renato customized the walk for us and answered all of our questions as we made our way through the historic center of town. If you are in Porto, I highly recommend spending a few hours with Renato on this tour!!

I loved seeing Porto again, now walking through its staircases, historic places and many other places I didn't know. Guide Renato very attentive and knowledgeable about this wonderful city! Beautiful places and sensational photos!
