I booked a tour to Ronda from Torremolinos. Although the tour was booked from Viator, it was presented to me as a tour by Julia Travel. I selected that tour because of the fine reputation of Julia Travel.

I was asked to meet the tour bus at a nearby hotel. It was not a long walk, but it was a cold and rainy day and it was not pleasant to stand outdoors in the rain, waiting for the tour bus which was 10 minutes late.

The next pickup stop for the tour bus was my own hotel. I asked why I was asked to come to another hotel and wait in the rain rather than being permitted to board the bus at my own hotel. The guide's answer to me was that when you book the tour on the internet, you must meet the tour bus at a central location. Only those passengers who book the tour at the hotel's tour desk are granted a pickup at their own hotel.

Nothing about the tour bus or the tour guides mentioned Julia Travel. One of the guides said he was employed by Diversion Tours. That was also the information on the tour bus. The guide explained that all of the tour companies hand off their passengers to Diversion Tours so that there will be one full tour bus instead of multiple buses which are mostly empty. I was one of the passengers who was handed off to Diversion Tours.

The tour offered by Viator in the name of Julia Travel promised a visit to a winery and a wine tasting. That was never offered to me.

I was not treated correctly with respect to (1) not being picked up at my own hotel, (2) being handed off to Diversion Tours, and (3) not being provided the promised visit to the winery and the wine tasting?

Ronda is the main attraction and was our main reason for booking this trip
The guide was very complacent and showed little enthusiasm. Not worth the money

When traveling through Andalusia, is a must to visit Ronda located in a top of a mountain and also visit the oldest bull fight arena in Spain.

We started in Malaga and it took 2:15 to pick up other people before we ever started for Malaga, and repeated it when we came back. Made a 4 hour tour into an 11 hour day before they finished. Bull ring a waste of tour time. Guide read the description to us even though they were in 4 languages. The wine tasting was a joke. By all means go to Malaga and see the gorge. That is amazing, and no guide is needed.

Booked Malaga to Ronda tour due to proximity to Ronda from Malaga. Unaware the bus would make NUMEROUS stops along the coast. An hour and a half rode took 3 hours. Tour guide didn't say hello or introduce himself until almost 2 hours into the drive after everyone was picked up. He translated in 4 languages which would be impressive if you were a knowledgable and intelligible guide. We ditched the group in ronda and went off on our own so that we could get some enjoyment out of the day. Take the bus from malaga and enjoy ronda at your own pace. My favoritr part was when we were traveling back to Malaga the tour guide got off the bus at an undesignated stop to go home. Rude and unprofessional. I steongly advise you to skip this tour.

Meeting point was not clear and we ended up walking for a while at 6am trying to figure out the correct location. Tour guide was very grumpy and you could easily do this on your own without booking any tours.

- Get the bus/train straight to Ronda
- There are a number of wine tasting venues so we could have walked in without booking

On the whole Ronda is nice and worth a visit! Def eat at Casa Maria!

The guide was terrible, no smiles, arrogant and not accommodating at all. He has no skills to explain to a group. We missed the coach as it was leaving at 7am and wasn't in a central area so we had a long walk plus we had a baby which made it more difficult. My friends who made it in the last minute (because it was difficult to find) didn't dare ask the driver and guide to pick us up at an extra cost because the driver's and guide's attitude was so bad. So we got on the train to Ronda instead, which costed us 30 Euro for both and got us there by 12pm, before the group! They wasted so much time stopping at various places to pick up people for different places. The tour in Ronda was so boring that we just abandoned it and went on our own. The way back to Malaga was too long, making a whole detour along the coast instead of taking the shortest route. It took well over two hours. Avoid if you're after having fun and if you have kids or a baby! Better off going to Ronda independently.

The trip is not well structured at all, they make you wait at a large number of stops and for a long time on the way and while coming back that you will feel like you spent the whole day inside the coach for a day for a journey of 100kms which could be done in 1.5 hrs.. There is not enough break for a coffee/breakfast either which they should have arranged in the midway of journey when they are starting the trip so early as 6.55 am. Though they said this time, the trip started off from Malaga past 7.15 am and as mentioned stopped for long times all the way. Stopping to pick up people on the way is a good idea and helpful, but it should not be for such long times that you spent unreasonable time in coach for such a short journey. The guide was not very helpful either, she did not give proper information to return to the bus station after we were left on our own and we lost our way on the way back to reach bus station. The guide was not very friendly to the questions asked like the basic necessities of where we could find a toilet. She was more bothered about time which they themselves had managed in a very bad way and then causing discomfort to the travellers. All in all we would not recommend taking this trip.

Wonderful day, train trip was great and Ronda itself was even better. Lovely walk along the shopping mall down to the sheer drop shown in the photo on the left. Great eating places and full of tourists. Would recommend this a very worthwhile day trip. Train trip was a little over an hour from Malaga.

Wow, so many tourists, even in October!
A couple of nice restaurants - if you can get in them - with great views. We managed to find a great little bar/brasserie on a corner overlooking the bridge/gorge with excellent sherry & tapas, and friendly staff. We were very lucky! A fabulous charcuterie with a lovely proprietor, couldn’t be more helpful, and great service from one of the small souvenir shops, but I wouldn’t want to stay here. For us it was just too busy, but definitely worth a visit.
