Unfortunately cloud covering top of Mt Fuji but this didn’t detract from the experience. Lake Ashi cruise was beautiful.

Went on this tour due to a recommendation from a usually-reliable source, but boy did they steer me wrong this time. Here is your itinerary: 80% bus ride (much of it on winding, puke-inducing roads), 15% gift shops, and 5% sightseeing, that is if you don't go on a rainy day like we did. If there is rain, you will get 0% visibility of Fuji due to fog. You will also be served a flavorless lunch in the middle of the tour. What a waste of a day. This is for unadventurous tourists.

The tour was quite fulsome and interesting. We started at Mount Fuji, a little over halfway up to the summit. We then visited the Komagatake ropeway and lastly a short cruise from Hakone. Overall, the tour was great and Yuki was a terrific guide - very interactive, informational and fun. It would’ve been great to have more detail on the itinerary ahead of time as we thought we would spend more time on Mt. Fuji. Secondly, there were short periods of “flex” time at each of the spots but they were very brief based on how the day was organized. In conclusion, would highly recommend this tour for the sights.

Amazing day led by an enthusiastic, knowledgable guide. From the beginning of the day until end of the day she kept feeding us lots of really interesting facts and information.

Joe, our tour guide, was excellent! It was well organized and efficient with time to see a lot of the natural beauty around Mount Fuji, Lake Ashi, and Mount Komagatake. It was out first full day in Japan and was a good introduction.

Many thanks to good guide. Good at informing about things along the way, and quite a fun-fact. The bus was good. The lunch was ok, but have been on a few such excursions so better than expected. Recommend a thousand and the company!!!

Apart from it being a long day because of Golden week holiday congestion it was a fantastic day. The tour guide went out of her way to make the day a success. The scenery was superb, and luckily for us, the weather was perfect, not a cloud in the sky. Mt Fugi did not disappoint, as did the Hakone area, which I thought was better than Mt Fuji

We had an excellent guide. The weather was great and the view on Mr. Fuji was exceptionnel. Twice, on the way, there were traffic jams so, the guide made some changes with the schedule and everything went well. The only thing that we did not like was the typical Japanese food for lunch which is not my favourite. The ropeway going over a steaming caldera, was amazing.

This tour was a neat, solid 3 star experience. The tour wasn’t bad, but it could definitely use logistical improvement. For example, I took the English tour, but barely understood a word the tour guide said, which made it difficult to understand what was going on. Also, the path up the mountain was closed due to an avalanche warning. I understand that the tour company can’t control the weather, so I don’t fault them for that. However, they can control where we stop so participants can have the best possible view of Mt. Fuji. Instead of stopping somewhere with a good view, we stopped at the same rest stop as 15 other tour companies. The angle from where we stood made the mountain barely visible. The view was 10 times better from the bus while we were driving on the highway. Later in the day when we went up a mountain in a cable car the views of Mt. Fuji would have been nice, but by that point it was too foggy. Further, lunch was in a crowded event space with 100 other tourists. The food was barely mediocre. All in all, it was a neat experience. I wouldn’t have been able to barely see Mt. Fuji or take a 10 minute cruise on Lake Ashi if I wouldn’t have done this tour, so I’m grateful for the opportunity. I just wish the tour company had a plan A, B, and C for where to stop so participants could have the best possible view of the mountain and that lunch was tasty.
