This tour can be summed up in a few words- ride a bus most of the day, get dropped off at mediocre gift shops ( Buc-ees gas station is better than these places) to waste time perusing tchotchkes and fattening desserts, and sit in traffic inside a tunnel for 45 minutes on the long drive home.
We never so much as took a little walk on Mt Fuji or stopped to take a good photo. We barely spent any time there. Seems the point was to get us to buy stuff at the stop. The boat ride was an absolute joke lasting ten minutes and crossing a small lake. They also included a boring cable car ride to literally look at a pile of dirt. Definitely not worth risking your life over. Bonus it smelled of sulfur. I think we found the only two rude people in Japan as our tour guide and point of contact. We were greeted by a very rude woman who spoke demeaningly to us and sent my family to the bathroom while the tour guide wanted to leave. The guide warned everyone on the bus in her prepared speech several times that in Japan if ur not completely punctual you may be left. The lunch was atrocious. I’d rather eat hospital or prison food. The chicken tasted like it was still defrosting. I did not see anyone eat much. By and large I felt like a naive tourist that was taken advantage of.

Amazing tour, our tour guide was so informative and knew tons of fun facts, she kept us entertained the whole time and we learned a lot about Mt. Fuji and the rest of the areas we passed by.

We got lucky and were able to see the mountain even though June-August is not a great season to visit.

Make sure to be on time as well as keep track of time at rest stops to ensure you’re not late on the bus. Our tour group ended up getting 15 mins more time on the boat tour because we got there a bit early.

Highly recommended!

Not worth the long trip, not worth our time. Even the pirate ship is boring. A little expensive going there.a big letdown

Both the Mountain and Hakone and the cruise at the lake were perfect. Our guide Toshi was very helpful and knowledgeable. The traditional Japanese lunch was well worth it and comes with a show, don't skip out on that. Going back with Shinkansen is a great choice for anyone staying near the Tokyo JR station

Overall it was a good day. The weather was terrible so we didn't get to see Mt Fuji at all. But this is not the operators fault. If the weather was good, this would have been a perfect trip. Our guide was good at keeping everyone entertained on the long drives. Because there were so many stops, not a lot of time and everything is so far away from each other, you only get to spend 10mins on Mt Fuji which is barely enough time to look at anything. 10mins in Hakone and maybe 20mins at the top of the Ropeway. But to cram all of those things in one day is good if you are time poor. We selected the "no lunch" option because it reads as though there will be somewhere else to buy food but there isn't. The lunch is held at a random hotel off the highway so it's best to bring snacks with you or buy food at one of the earlier stops. All in all it was still a good trip

So many memories created in one day. The three phases Give you just enough of each experience. The meal and entertainment were also exceptional!

Lunch could have been better with varieties for selection.
We were so unlucky since on 27th May, the Mount Fuji 5th station was closed and Cable car was not available due to whether.
So, the tour was just a ride without any experience.

Great guide, and a very nice itinerary for a day trip. I was disappointed when we reached the 5th station at Fuji because we were in the clouds (happens a lot). But later views totally made up for this. The cable car up the mountain provided the best views and we were lucky it was a clear day. I also enjoyed the lunch and taiko drumming entertainment. Comfortable bus even for my son who is 6 ft 4. There are plug points at each seat to recharge your phone. For me, who has lived in Japan for 4 years about 20 years ago it was a very memorable and sentimental trip (we used to rent a house at lake Hakone). For my son, who was born in Tokyo but left when he was 18 months old it was a welcome (re) introduction to the Japanese countryside.
