As a small business owner, it pains me to write this review because I know how much it can hurt… however I feel ripped off by this experience and feel the need to share it with other tourist. I paid $166 for my partner and I to take this mask making class. We expected to learn about the history of mask making and understand why Venetians used masks, etc. The man running the class barely spoke to us. He just told us to pick a mask, pick colors and paint. I could have easily done this at home. Then he dried the masks for us and made decorations on our masks that were hideous. We were so disappointed we didn’t even go back to pick up our masks after they dried. Also, there were customers coming in and out of his shop as we were painting our masks making the already tiny room very hot. I definitely do not recommend this mask making class… it was such a waste of money and time.

Georgio was a great teacher and created a memorable moment for us that we will cherish every time we think of Venice. The kids had fun and enjoyed creating a great mask under his expert instruction. Would definitely recommend!!

Very fun and totally worth it! Loved my mask. The shop is small but its no problem. You're really there to make your own mask and that is what you do. Don't expect so much from the person doing the class nice but reserved

Sharing our experience with each other. Being taught by a Master Mask maker! He allowed us to go at our own pace. He added a final piece of decoration to all the masks. It was a great excursion.

This was such a cool and unique experience. I really had a fun time and the instructor is an authentic mask maker doing this for many years which makes it all so much better.

Our kids really enjoyed making Venetian Masks. With this class you also get to learn a little history behind the mask, Venice and the the few families left that continue to make them by hand. I would highly recommend this authentic experience for adults and/or children.

What a great experience. The owner and artist taught the class and entertained us with the history of the mask. We worked on our individual projects, under his watchful eye. All ages can have a fabulous experience- not to be missed.

My 22 year old daughter and I had a great time making our masks! He gave us great instructions and was very helpful and very friendly. Our masks are going to be great souvenirs from our time in Venice!

We loved making our masks, the process was super easy to follow and didn’t take long at all. The end result was so satisfying to see and came out wonderful. Would absolutely do this again.

Highly recommend. Three in party 50,65,85, two reluctant to try- both theirs turned out amazing. “Professor” very charming and made process simple. You paint bass colors and he adorns with a scroll work. ANY ONE, ANY AGE would enjoy this hour. Would gladly return and paint more.
