Meet up with one of our knowledgeable local guides at Tsukiji Honganji Temple and your guide will help you walk through our favorite local shops selling the best quality foods, drinks, kitchen utensils, etc.. You will get to see the both retail markets and the intermediate wholesale building and enjoy some of the free samples(Japanese green tea, Dashi soup etc..) along with the menu below.
Please enjoy the unique atmosphere of the market which miraculously survived the World War Ⅱ, where you often be able to see the face-to-face conversations between the buyers and the sellers, which is difficult to find elsewhere in megacity Tokyo.

Our family's second visit to Tokyo was enriched by this incredible tour, which we wish we had taken on our first trip. It was a cultural eye-opener that engaged all five senses, complete with delicious food. Our guide, Watanabe Kosei, was outstanding, his enthusiasm for Tokyo and Japan was infectious. Both our children, aged 20 and 13, thoroughly enjoyed the experience alongside us. The tour provided a fresh perspective on this beautiful city, making it a highly recommended experience for visitors of all ages.

Yoshiko was superb. Her attitude and knowledge brought to life the vibrancy and depth of the food and fish market and her connection with the local vendors was essential to the depth of experience and flavor that we enjoyed.... I cannot recommend this tour in particular associated with yoshiko highly enough.

Come hungry! We participated in this tour while in Tokyo and absolutely enjoyed it. Ash was our guide and we had an awesome group! Ash was knowledgeable about the foods in the market and gave us a great assortment of foods to try. He also allowed us to stop and make some independent food choices, which actually made the tour very enjoyable! I couldn’t recommend this tour enough given the overwhelming nature of the market and food selections. Thanks Ash!

The food was amazing. Waygu steak, yummy ❤️. Our tour guide took us to the places and we got tried a lot of good food. She gave us history on the Tsukiji temple too.

My favorite thing I have done in Tokyo! We sampled so many things and ate great local foods. Our guide showed us many local spots and had us try many typical Japanese snacks that would typically very exotic in the USA. I highly recommend asking for Kosei if you take this tour. A Japanese native & speaks great english. We loved our time with Kosei, we became more confident visiting more local spots as foreigners after this tour. We also became less afraid to try the unknown local snacks and foods!

We really enjoyed the tour of the market and getting to see parts of the market that would have not seen on our own. Our guide was knowledgeable and fun. We particularly enjoyed the fish demonstration and visiting the shrines.

Our tour guide, Ash, was very nice and helpful. We were able to learn a lot about the market and the history of the Tsukiji area. It was very cool to learn about all the different and unique Japanese foods!
