Even as it rained in the afternoon this food was worth every penny. It’s a great introduction to Brazilian and Rio history. Flavio was such a great tour guide!

Besides not having any view (poor weather is not anyone’s fault) we were not told enough about the history of the city. In fact the tour guide spent most of the trip talking to the driver. We were told that as we weren’t doing lunch that we would have to catch an Uber back to our hotel or wait while the others did. We waited and after 3 hours I needed to use a toilet and because we didn’t want the lunch I was not allowed to use the toilet at the lunch venue!! We finally were returned to our hotel and again were not given any narrative about the city, the tour guide again spent the trip talking to the driver. An incredible opportunity lost. We saw fog, learned very little about the city and ended up walking around ourselves for 3 hours. I would definitely not recommend anyone pay 85US for this wasted day.

Great tour! My friend and I decided to skip the lunch and Sugarloaf to explore town more, but we enjoyed the tour and the guide was great.

The host was amazing very knowledge. Her English was very good so I managed to catch all the interesting facts of each location. My favourite was the view from the christ redeemer statue and looking down on the city. Such an amazing view with the added excitement of monkeys trying to get scraps from the local food stalls.

The local tour company did not cancel even after knowing that nothing was visible that day due to heavy rain and fog. Tour stopped without going to Sugarloaf mountain. They asked us request partial refund through Viator which took over a month to get.

Unforgettable experience, it was a long one and tired at the end but was worth it. If you’re afraid of heights this may not be it for you but otherwise, you get to visit places no one could ever go

You get picked up from your hotel between 8:00-8:30am. Our driver was Thiago and guide was Clara. Clara speaks Portuguese, English and Spanish. She has a fun personality. You use the same shuttle bus all day. Our group had 19 people. First, you go to Christ the Redeemer. After that you drive around to a few spots in downtown Rio. You have lunch around 1pm. The last part of the tour is SugarLoaf Mountain. It was clear skies so you could see the whole city. Tour ends around 4pm. Due to traffic, it’s a fast pace tour in order to see everything.
