Considered by “The Guardian” one of the top 10 bars in the world, Rio Scenarium is a former antique store located in the heart of the bohemian and traditional region of Lapa.
Rio Scenarium is a three-level culture pavilion interconnected by stairs and an elevator from the belle époque era. Its relics, flamboyant decor and obsolete items are commonly used in film productions.
The venue is the scene of incredible live music, where the best artists bring to life Brazilian music genres such as Samba, Forró and MPB (Brazilian Popular Music). Skip the line through a fast track entrance and live a genuine local nightlife experience while enjoying the 3-hour open bar (selected drinks) and a full dinner service (appetizer, main course and desert).
Note: Attention to the tour option chosen - with roundtrip transportation, with one-way transportation, and without transportation included. At least 2 people are required for the activity with roundtrip transportation to take place.

One of the worst nights of my two week trip to South America. Likely would not have been so bad if we had been picked up in time, had a nice driver (as we did on the way home). Firstly our driver did not arrive - had been in the lobby 15 minutes early. Called the emergency line 45 minutes later, not the best attitude towards us considering both in our 70s and wanted to cancel by this point as we were tired of waiting. They would not refund. Sent an uber driver who did not speak English (hotel staff helped) and had a horrid attitude - driving through 4 red lights. I was petrified! Did line up until I found someone who spoke English. They don't tell you when booking this tour that pick up is after midnight. If we had known we would not have booked as we were leaving Rio next morning at 7am. Food was basic (would not recommend for the price); service good. By the time we arrived we were still shaking from our uber ride provided by the company - so not able to "embrace" the experience as the rep had suggested! Music was good but no time to really take it all in as the rep sent another uber to pick us up at 10pm.....arrived just before 9pm! Definitely would not book through this company. Never have I ever had such a bad experience with a tour booked on Tripadvisor!

worst experience and customer service ever ! My sister and I are seniors (early 70s)...booked a pick up which never arrived after specifically being 15 minutes early waiting in lobby. 45 minutes later we called the emergency line. Rep had somewhat of an attitude. we wanted to cancel as it was 1 hr 15 minutes later we were sent an uber driver from hell! He didn't speak English and drove like he was in a James Bond movie....went through 4 red lights! We were terrified. had asked for a refund but she said NO! Dropped us off but said nothing and we were extremely nervous. Found someone who spoke English, lined up on arrival - 1.5 hrs later....couldnt get to the front of the line as promised! Dinner is not worth it although had no expectations at that point. Service attentive. Band good if you are younger and in a better frame of mind than we were at that point of the evening. Had to leave within the hour even though the Uber driver said he would give us a couple of hours the rep online said NO - he said he had no choice but take her instructions. So there and back within 2 hours tops! Next morning the hotel desk said a driver had arrived, they called our room but no answer (we were in the Lobby expecting a driver to come ask who we were like every other tour guide/pick up driver).....he waited a few minutes and had left. So not a good experience, made worse by the rep for the booking company who obviously has no regard for seniors !

El lugar es excelente un ambiente muy agradable y lindo, con el operador del tour tuvimos problema no llego a la hora indicada y no contesto por la aplicación, tuvimos que buscar al operador en internet y contactarlo vía WhatsApp, finalmente mandaron un Uber 50 minutos después.

The place is excellent, it has a nice an great vibe, however we have problem with the operator they didn’t pick us up on time, they didn’t answer the chat in the app, we have to look up the operator in the internet and later contact them via WhatsApp, at the end they send an Uber to pick us up 50 min later

Paid £190 for 3 adults without hotel pick up. Although the place was lovely, the food certainly wasn't high quality NOR was it worth the high price!!!Only a couple of choices of starter and main meal with cake for desert. Very overpriced. Disappointed!

The music and culture from this experience were phenomenal, would recommend this bar to anyone visiting Rio wanting to listen to Brazil music and looking for dancing. That being said, we thought this experience was overpriced. We also double booked this excursion by mistake and the local Viator agency refused to provide us with a refund. Would recommend visiting the bar, but paying for the tour, although convenient, wasn’t necessarily worth the money.
