This was our second time doing this excursion. We had a great time. It seems that they removed the last jump since we tried it the first time....probably due to injuries.
The only thing thing that was odd was that we had two people taking pictures of our family but at the end they said there was only one set of photos from one camera. There was no other explanation as to why there were two people taking our photos but only one camera was said to have been used. At the end the second guy was nowhere to be found and they acted like they had no idea what we were talking about. Vibes were definitely giving secret stash.

Don’t hesitate! Just book it! This was fabulous start to finish! :)
Before the excursion, we were sent very detailed directions about when and where to meet. We docked in Taino Bay (but they also work out of Amber Cove). We walked through Taino Bay to the taxi area where we met our tour guides. We had Jordan, and he was awesome! On the ride to the falls, Jordan talked about the history and fun facts of the island. We were also given water bottles to hydrate for the hike.
Upon arrival, we kept our belongings in the van, but there are lockers there for rental if needed. You can also rent water shoes for $2. The hike was about 40-45 minutes up. It could be considered somewhat difficult if you are not used to hiking, but well worth it. There were several slides and one jump. You can also hire a photographer to accompany your group for $45. Definitely get the photographer. You will get your photos on a USB drive. The hike back was all downhill and pretty easy…about 20 minutes or so.
On the drive back to the port, we were served delicious rum punch! Jordan also stopped at a road side fruit stand for bananas and chips for us! Such a great way to end our wonderful day! We would definitely do this again, and would absolutely book through this company versus the cruise line. Better deal and smaller group!

Absolutely loved the waterfall experience! I would definitely love to do it again! I came by myself and my tour guide Winston made sure to take photos and videos of me with my phone! I couldn’t thank him enough for how he took care of our group!

Highly highly recommend this excursion!!! My husband and I have never booked an excursion outside of a cruise line, but this was absolutely amazing. The tour guides were so helpful and such a lively and fun group. I would recommend this excursion to everybody.

Definitely get the photo package. The walk was further than I thought but totally worth it. A man in our group about passed out. He didn’t bring enough water. A dry bag is a must! Be prepared to leave your belongings in the bus. Bring cash for tips. Just jump… don’t whimp out. I am over 50 and would do it again!

Such an amazing time! Our jump coach was Wisdom and he is an absolute angel. I had hurt my shoulder a week prior to the trip so I treaded with caution.. lol.. but he really looked out for me and was so attentive! Showed us all the beauty of the waterfalls and made sure everyone had a great time. This was a wonderful experience and a definite must! Thank you 😊

This was our first excursion NOT booked through the cruise. It was so smooth. We were in port for 7 hours and we got back with a few hours to do some shopping and enjoy the port (free lazy river, pool, etc.)
I used my iPhone 14 Pro Max for pictures and videos. Put it in a waterproof case just so make sure it was safe and got some good pics and videos some as I Jumped!!! Xander(our guide) was awesome! And took a video from the base with my phone as I jumped. I would ABSOLUTELY do this one again if I cruise back to Puerto Plata!

Xander, Rosie and Luis of Puerto Plata Adventures were fantastic. So much fun, if it were possible to give 10 stars I would. The “Party Bus“ ride back to the cruise terminal was crazy fun. We have been on over 20+ excursions in this part of the world and this one was hands down the best.
