This took the worry out of scheduling an airport transfer. They contacted me the day before to confirm, called the morning of and showed up early enough to account for any delays to the airport. A no -brainer.

I paid for round trip transfer to and from the airport and was told this would all I would pay except for tipping the driver if I chose to. When I arrived at the Punta Cana Airport, found our driver, luggage was loaded and we were sitting in the car with the doors shut, ready to go. The doors were opened and I was handed the phone and told there was a problem and I needed to talk to the boss. I was told I had to pay an addiction Al $70 right then for my transport or they could not take us to our hotel. I explained I had already paid in full for our round trip transfer. I was told that the hotel was further than they thought and I had to pay the $70. I explained that they had the name and address of our hotels for 5 months prior and that my transfer was paid in full for round trip. Did not matter, I had to pay the $70. After 18 hours of traveling, being hungry, hot, and exhausted, I paid the $70. I called Viator afterwards to ask for a refund for the $70 extra fee I should not have had to pay and was denied. If you (Viator), tell your customer something and assure them everything is paid, you need to stand by your customer. If the tour operator Viator is using screws the customer out of additional money, Viator needs to make it right. Viator needs to honor their word, stand by their customer, and have integrity. I will be telling everyone I know NOT to use Viator. I will be making a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and leaving this same terrible review about Viator everywhere I can!!!
