Asakusa, where our classroom is located, was the birthplace of ramen in Tokyo just over 100 years ago. Make a delicious bowl of ramen and some crisp and juicy gyoza to go with it.
Btw at our Chagohan Tokyo Cooking Classes, Guests can enjoy what we call the Japanese culinary experience, sake tasting or matcha making experience. In the evening sometimes guests can enjoy some light sake appetizers along with carefully selected Japanese sake & whisky.

It was so much fun! Masa and Junko were wonderful hosts, showing not only how to make the food but the history and culture behind it as well. Masa was a great teacher, and the food turned out amazing! They even gave us the recipes after!

This was a fun educational class lead by a very talented couple. Everything was hands on and we can’t wait to try to make the ramen at home.

By far 5 stars! The experience was so fun, authentic and easy to follow! Masa spoke perfect English and helped us to know where to get ingredients if we wanted to recreate at home.

Such a fun experience learning to make gyoza and ramen. Masa and Junko were informative and warm hosts. Highly recommend for families with kids interested in Japanese food (but make sure they are older kids because there is a fair bit of knife work in the prep!)

We had really great experience of cooking the Japanese way! The hosts were super-nice. We've got detailed explanations about the history and the spirit of Japanese cooking. We've learned and implemented all the steps ourselves, with attentive guidance from the hosts throughout the process. Finally, we've tasted our creation and it was really delicious!

A delightfully intimate setting with two amazing hosts. It was like being welcomed into their home kitchen! Masa & Junko run an incredibly organised event, which is well pitched for complete beginners but were also able to answer questions from the more experienced cooks in the group with their very impressive English. Masa led the class with introductory history to the food & Japanese cuisine in general. His demonstrations & instructions were very clear. Meanwhile Junko took lots of photos and videos on our behalf. Every participant gets plenty of food - around 8 gyoza and a full bowl of chicken ramen. Delicious! 👍

We had a very pleasant time.
The explanations were simple and the result delicious.
Well located in Asakusa, easy to find, you can continue after the course with a trip to the kappabashi dori district (kitchen equipment district) with lots of Japanese knife stores!!

A warming, beautiful and delicious experience. Our hosts taught us to make delicious ramen and gyoza and educated us in the different ramen for different regions. Shoyu ramen has become my favorite! My family loved it and we plan to return! Definitely recommend!!! Thank you so much to our hosts! So kind and warm!

My husband and I wanted to take a local cooking class while in Tokyo and I’m so happy we chose this one!

Masa and Junko are very kind, friendly, informative, and clearly very organized to make this experience so pleasant and delicious.

We learned so much about ramen and the tricks to the complexity of its flavor. Masa is very good at explaining things to a multilingual group and really makes the lesson fun. Junko is able to step in for one on one help and to keep the lesson flowing smoothly.

Learning tricks to make gyoza so crispy was such an excellent treat, we look forward to making some at home!

We wish we had time to take some of their other classes as well!
