On this 8-hour tour from Cairns, cruise out to an activity platform on the outer Great Barrier Reef for a day of exploring this natural wonder in different ways.

Great trip out snorkelling !!! Water on the way out was rough and very bumpy because it was windy (30 knots), but we still had great snorkelling. Good to be at the pontoon which was protected and stable. Snorkelling gear was great, especially the goggles and snorkels which were like new. Flippers and wetsuits also in very good condition. Quite a few people on the boat, but getting the gear was super fast as you can literally grab it off the huge rack and get into the water. Very quick indeed. The team were very friendly and super helpful. Saw great fish and reef, even though it was choppy. Water was clear. The excursion in the submersible was also fun. The food was ok, but not ideal for gluten free. Evidently we needed to order this in advance. Would definitely recommend the trip !

Absolutely loved our day out. So much to see and do. The team were amazing with our kids(3yrs, 6yrs old) My son had never snorkelled before but he was well looked after as he entered the water and had an absolute ball. A great day had by the whole family and our English guests ❤️ Thank you

I loved that we were able to get off the boat and hang out on the platform. There was plenty of space to slowly get into the water and get our kids comfortable with snorkeling. The underwater observatory and the glass bottom boats were favorites of my 5-year-old. I enjjoyed learning about the marine life from the marine biologist and about the natives from another guide. There was a lot of different things to do so everyone in our family had a good time.

Such a great day! The waters getting to the reef was gnarly but still a great day! They gave out sea sickness pills early on, no one in my group got sick. We had a great day snorkeling in the boundary area, I liked having the roped off area, others didn’t, but it was plenty big, we saw lots of fish, and gorgeous coral. Spring suits offered, snorkeling gear was great. I’ve already recommended this excursion to other travelers before getting home.

This was the highlight of our Cairns tour. Reef magic was magical. We have been to many tours, but their customer service was best of all. Geniunely enthusiastic people always there for you. We did not know how to swim, but did not miss anything, the guided snorkelling made it easy. At first we were a bit scared, but once we saw the mesmerizing corals, forgot all the worries, and started to enjoy.

Our group had different age groups and swim levels, hence we all had good time at Pontoon and the GBR. I am beginners level swimmer but had a dream of experiencing Scuba diving. I was very nervous. Oliver, the diving instructor was very friendly and patient, gave me confident and made my dream come true. Cultural demo and the marine scientist session for kids on the way back were notable highlights, we thoroughly enjoyed it. Good food, more than one way to experience the reef, varieties of activities to engage everyone the whole day. Highly recommend.
One thing to note, if you have Asthma, even if it's mild, you need letter from QLD medical practitioner for scuba diving. We took GP letter from Victoria for my daughter but they didn't accept for safety and liabilityreasons. I recommend to read information from reef magic website carefully and go fully prepared. The same applicable to other medical conditions too.

Amazing trip. Staff are excellent and the reef is beautiful. Everything you need is on the pontoon and the buffet lunch is very good.

Magical experience with highly knowledgeable staff. Excellent facilities, great lunch and five hours on the reef.
Semi sub and glass bottom boat tours were brilliant and the snorking was as good as it gets. Fabulous.
