The 2 guides were wonderful. The ATV ride was a lot of fun. We enjoyed the beautiful scenery along the way. Once we got to the start of the trail, the guides gave us a splash of traditional aromatic liquid to help with the elevation sickness. They also gave us the option to walk or take a horse/motorcycle ride for additional fees to the top. We went at the end of June and it was freezing cold in the morning! We left our hotel in Cusco at around 3:30am and returned past 5:00pm. Make sure you pack warm clothes and bring your gloves!

Excelente de principio a fin. Lo bueno:
- Pasaron a tiempo

The fact that i was able to squeeze this tour into my itinerary is the reason i am giving this a 4. 1. our flight was at 7:30pm and this was the only tour that was ending around 3:30pm. 2. We didn't want to do any more walking because we were doing the Inca trail (4D/3N) before this.

one negative this i felt was... I received a text from them, suggesting that for our own safety do we want to share the ATV instead of one ATV per person. When I said yes, the price was not adjusted and then at the actual location we were not able to change our decision of not sharing. That sucked.

my most memorable experiences being at the top of rainbow mountain and an elevation of 17,000 feet above sea level, which is only 600 m lower than Mount Kilimanjaro and I was up there with my daughter. We got to experience that together.

We had a wonderful experience with Arturo and Yadira today, riding ATVs and seeing the beautiful rainbow mountain! It is an early morning, but it is worth it because you end up arriving before the big crowds. Though not super strenuous, you need to be somewhat fit for this adventure. You are up over 17,000 feet and you can feel how thin the air is! Arturo and Yadira were so kind and did a wonderful job showing many of us new ATV users how to operate them, explained some of the background of the mountains, and played photographer for us. Like the site indicates, there are some extra costs, one you have to pay to the local villages to get access (25 soles) and another extra if you want to avoid the hike up. There are also essential items to bring with is also noted on Viator. I would highly recommend using the motorcycle option as Arturo also suggests to his customers. It is not required, but being at that altitude can be physically demanding for most people. The motorcycle ride gave us more time to explore and well worth it! Sure, the food was not the best, but that is not what we were there for. It got calories into the body and happy to have something more than a protein bar. The negative reviews I think may be from those who did not read everything they needed to know before going. I happily recommend this tour. Thank you, Arturo and Yadira!!!

Well organized and quite early, i loved that the guides confirm with you a day or two before to prepare with masks to not eat dust and gloves for riding the quads. They have you send a picture of yourself and your weight to accomadate the right quad and access your health to make sure you will be okay trekking the challenging sand. They wouldnt want you rolling for days down the mountain i am sure. They picked me up at my hotel and dropped me off so thats great! Had to be one of the approved in route to stick to the schedule . We stopped for breakfast in a tiny town before continuing on for another hour or so to the switchbacks of the mountain to learn the basics of riding a quad. They assigned you a quad based on weight. im overweight but fit 165 and 90 something kilos 240lbs and i got a sturdier one.
From there mask up because you basically eat dust on the switch backs up the mountain and down with your mates while taking in the breathtaking views! Wish they would have made a stop at the dinosaur looking rock the is strethcing out vertically by a lake full of alpacas but i understood things are on a time limit.
We had carried enough soles $ to pay the area teens to carry some of us brave souls to mount the back of the dirt bikes to finish taking us from the MIRADOR view over to the Rainbow mounting view. HYDRDATE! Oxygen tank and positive vibes! WELL Organized! was back at hotel by 6-7pm to shower and pass out! GRACIAS AMIGOS!

This was such a cool experience. The guides were so nice and helpful and gave great instructions. It was very fun to be able to ride in the quads and the views are amazing on the way to the mountain. Once you get to the top part you decide if you want to walk the mountain, go on horse or ride a 2 wheel bike. It was super fun, we stopped for breakfast and lunch and the food was very good. Definitely would recommend warm clothes because the mornings are very cold. It’s also nice to go early to beat some of the crowds. The mountain is amazing once you are at the top, but definitely felt the altitude sickness, by it was so worth it!
