A return scenic cruise from Queenstown Bay, across stunning Lake Wakatipu to Walter Peak High Country Farm on our vintage steamship TSS Earnslaw, a farm demonstration and a delicious BBQ Lunch served on the sunny terrace at the Colonel’s Homestead.
The rural demonstrator will give guests an insight into life in the New Zealand high country by providing an entertaining farm show including working sheep dogs.
Enjoy a unique dining experience at Walter Peak where the menu showcases food and wine from the wider Central Otago region. Chefs prepare a tasty selection of meats on the outdoor grill, while fresh, seasonal salads and vegetables are available from the dining area of the Colonel’s Homestead. Top off lunch with a selection of delicious sweet treats and local cheeses.

Amazing service from Ellie, Laurent and the chefs. The team went above and beyond to cater for our 2 yr old who is highly allergic to dairy. Thank you for making him feel so special especially the dairy free choc cake! He is still talking about it as the best part of his day!

Definitely recommend this trip. A lovely cruise on the Earnslaw with interesting commentary and scenery. The BBQ lunch was amazing, well worth it and plenty of it. The Sheep Show was ok and probably more for the Tourists who’ve not seen this before.

The waiter was hard to understand and communicate with- I had to point out the item or repeat the request serval times, maybe needed training. We felt rushed to eat our meals. We had a group booking - for a birthday. I found this disappointing considering it had great review's.

Loved our trip on the Earnslaw it was amazing and the lunch is the best buffet I have experienced in NZ the kids really enjoyed it too. This trip was the highlight of my trip to Queenstown, I highly recommend.

Awesome boat ride, buffet BBQ lunch and farmshow. Kim the border collie stole the show. Always a fun trip out in the Earnslaw. The selection of food was amazing. Very well organised. The desserts were the highlight. Yummy !!!

The sightseeing at the farm was really amazing with sunny blue sky. We enjoyed farm show. I did not know the hourse treck should be booked in advance, that's the only thing I regreted. Image riding horse in such beautiful landscape would be perfect.

We had the most amazing experience on this trip. The Earnslaw trip to Walter Peak farm was just beautiful (we were so lucky to have lovely weather too). Lots of coffee, tea and snacks to chose from to purchase on the boat itself, and then THE MOST AMAZING buffet lunch that exceeded all our expectations. Had a great time listening to and watching the sheep shearing talk & demo and watching the sheepdog do her magic as well. Would 110% recommend this trip as a MUST do for any visitor to Queenstown - really worth it to include the buffet lunch. It was a big highlight during out trip :)

The boat is amazing and you have great access. The views are sublime and even with a crowded boat you get good viewpoints.
