The bus ride the tour guide was very informative and spoke English was very well. On the mountain we were left to our devices a bit but still enjoyed it, although we got absolutely drenched by rain.

The tour was absolutely amazing and well worth it. Our tour guide was awesome and very friendly. Her English is very good and she was super knowledge about the Montserrat. She answered every question that anyone had from the group. I just wish the tour provided a little more free time then we had, so we could explore more. All in all is was an awesome and amazing tour. Definitely will come back again.

Tour was great, would highly recommend that you wear or carry a jacket or sweatshirt on the morning tour as it is much cooler on the mountain.

Did the Montserrat morning tour with Amigo Tours.
What to expect:
- Guide and bus were on time at 7:45AM at the meeting spot.
- On the trip, the guide pointed out landmarks and provided history of places, buildings, etc
- Bus ride took ~50 min, we arrive to the rail train station. Had 10 minutes for restroom, etc
- Train ride up took about 10 minutes.
- The guide gave us an orientation, pointed out the areas and what was included with our ticket, then took us to the monastery
- We got a brief history and then queued up to see the Madonna.
- Advice, when you see the Madonna, turn around to see the basilica.
- After that we were on our own for about 1.25 hours, in that time we saw the Madonna, went to the museum, sampled the liquor, and checked out the choir video, and the cheese/honey market.
- there isn't really time to hike to see the Cross (40-60min), eat lunch, or go up the hill via the funicular (note it leaves every 20 min and can get delayed at the top while waiting for people).
Overall, the bus and guided portion of tour was very good, the guide was pleasant (Malena).
There is actually a lot to explore on the mountain, much more than the tour allows time for. For those looking for a quick and easy tour, I recommend this. Otherwise it is best to go it on your own.

We had the most amazing time in Monserrat , we had Enna she was so knowledgeable, and professional .
We really enjoyed it .
Domingo was our bus driver was also great. I would recommend this wonderful place to visit.

My husband and I went here last week and really enjoyed our time! There was a lot of fog outside, so we couldn’t really see the mountain, but it still felt magical. I would recommend the full tour because we enjoyed the train ride and the narrative of the history!

So much time was wasted in sorting out different groups of people with tour, without tour, with train, without train, getting tickets etc... we got there early but were waiting around so long that people started coming and it got crowded.
This wasn't much of a tour, you're taken to the Black Madonna line and then left on your own to explore the rest of the grounds.

Carlos was our Guide. He was great. He spoke multiple languages and was very clear with his explanations. His sense of humor was very refreshing. This is a tour you can’t skip when visiting Barcelona. Make the time it’s worth it. It’s like a time capsule, the countryside and buildings are breath taking.
