Amazing to learn the history of the building of the temples and about the people who built them and when and what the Romans did to the area after the Romans took over the area

My bad review is not about the tour, since I was not able to go on the tour due to the pricing and cancallation policies of this company. I made an error booking late at night, and put in the wrong date. June 20th instead of 22nd. Got a call the next day when we did not show up, as we were still in another city. While my error clearly inconvenienced the tour, the rigidity of the refund policy (none - no credit to re-book, even partial) coupled with Viator/Trip Advisor's cleverly designed ability to evade/avoid any direct contact with customers who have a problem left us without options. On top of that, the pricing went up from $42 per person to over $300 in the space of 2 days! Lesson to others? Never make an error, always check, and never deal with Trip Advisor/Viator. Go directly to the local tour operator. Paestum is awesome. You don't need a tour.

Ci è piaciuta tantissimo e quindi consigliamo Silvia e Askos Tours

We visited the archaeological site of Paestum and the Museum, with the guide Dr. Fiorenza Monza, her explanations were clear, precise and exhaustive.
He managed the visit and the group competently, involving everyone present including two children. Excellent experience, recommended to everyone!

Very beautiful experience together with Mario, a passionate archaeological guide who has carefully balanced contents, sites of interest and times in a journey of centuries, from the Greeks to the Lucanians up to the Romans. Mario did not spare himself and closed the visit with entry to the museum even beyond the scheduled time. I recommend this tour if you want to visit the archaeological park of Paestum.

The ruins are incredible - if you love Greco-Roman history, it's a don't-miss!

Be aware that it's a lot of walking outdoors and not much shade, so take a hat, good walking shoes and water! It's quite crowded, so you will spend time standing around.

We had Sylvia as our guide. She was very good and extremely knowledgeable, though it was a bit repetitive at times and ran longer than scheduled.

Also, getting there can be a bit tricky. If you can, get your train tickets from port on an Intercity (IC) train, rather than the regional, which was very late the day we went. Not the easiest train system to navigate.
