A half or full day bicycle ride is the ideal way to explore the main Amalfi Coast road from Amalfi to Positano and back.
While basic cycling skills are required to handle possible traffic in some stretches, and a fair fitness level to face the numerous (but not steep or long) hills -unless you opt for the much easier e-bikes-, once you get going you easily realize how much better it is to be on a bike, rather than in a car or bus.
You'll be able to fully enjoy the environment, stop at any corner at your will to enjoy the scenery and take pictures, and get some healthy exercise on top of all!

We were able to rent our e-bikes even though our guide had to cancel due to a medical issue.
As far as we're concerned, this is the best way to enjoy the views along the Amalfi coast without breaking too much of a sweat climbing up the hilly roads.

An amazing experience! We rented two e bikes to bike from Positano to ravello, I highly recommend seeing the coast from this perspective! It was an absolute once in a lifetime experience. For those that aren’t comfortable biking with traffic make sure to go in the morning (majority of your biking should be done by 1030, particularly getting through amalfi, as there are many pedestrians after lunch) and do not follow Google maps, follow Daniele directions as there are errors on google maps end.

Daniele, the owner of cycling Amalfi coast in Amalfi provided us (daughter of 23 yrs and me) with two excellent E bikes, delivered in Salerno and 5 days later picked up in Sorrento.
Lots of useful information he gave us and offered great services, also by contact thru whatsapp during the five days we stayed in B&B's and hotels in Tramonti, Amalfi, Agerola, Positano and Salerno.
Really a very nice person to deal with and I can recommend highly to use his bikes and services.

Everything from scheduling to bike drop off was extremely easy. Daniele was very easy to work with and always responded promptly. Bike and equipment were very solid. Had pedals, bud is and even a bike computer. He dropped at my hotel the morning of and rode with me from Amalfi to positano for $100 eu. I also kept the bike an extra day at $40 eu for a solo ride. Really an excellent experience.

I rented a bike for one day and have only great things to say about the experience. From initial enquiry to dropping the bike off after the cycle, Daniele was extremely professional, friendly and communicative. The bike was top of the line and in perfect condition, which makes a big difference, especially given the hilly nature of the Amalfi Coast! Can highly recommend to anyone -I am sure the guided experience would have been just as good, if not better. Very well priced too for the 'self-guided' cycle!
10/10 for everything.
