This evening on a small group we will drive along Italy's most beautiful coastal road to Positano. Time for shopping and a drink with appetizers served in a restaurant overlooking the sea, will complete the program of the tour.

We had a fun eve. Prompt collection from our hotel. Clean and cool taxi/minivan with friendly driver. Short boat trip to a secluded beach cafe for drinks and delicious nibbles. Then time to soak up the atmosphere and visit the shops. We were the only ones on the tour that eve and felt like we had special treatment. It’s a good taster of what Positano has to offer.

Really disappointed as I was really looking forward to this night. Driver didn't know what was going on or where we were going we were made to hang around in a carpark for about 15 minutes until someone came to get us. She wasn't sure where we were booked in for dinner she thought I knew. Anyway that got sorted we got to the restaurant had our meal which was very very average and went home.

This tour was somewhat disappointing. The driver Nicco showed up at my hotel 30 minutes prior to the confirmed pick up time and spoke very little English. The voucher says English speaking driver. The voucher also stated we would stop along the way to take photos. We did not stop once along the route. When arriving in Positano the driver pulled into a gas station and said goodbye, see you at 11 PM. When I informed him we were supposed to have dinner he claimed to know nothing about it and said I'm just the driver. So here we are, three couples at a gas station in Positano with no idea of the name or location of the restaurant nor the time of the reservation. The driver called the local tour company and put me in touch with an English speaking person who texted me the name of the restaurant and time of the reservation. Due to the distance to the restaurant we spent the next hour and a half locating and walking to the restaurant. There was no time for sightseeing or shopping. The restaurant itself was less than expected, basically a pizza joint. Two of the couples were on their honeymoons and one was there for their anniversary. Needless to say, the restaurant was far less than romantic. Fortunately the food was acceptable but not spectacular. I would not recommend this tour to anyone. A total waste of time and money.

Visiting Positano while in Capri is a must, it's a beautiful little town.

The experience was very nice and liked that we could stop along the way for pictures. The restaurant food and view of the beach was wonderful. The only reason I am giving it 3 stars instead of more is that by the time we were done with dinner all the shops were closed and the description leads you to believe that there is time to shop.

There were 4 couples on this trip to Positano. The only thing I would have changed on this trip is where the restaurant sat us. They placed us all in the walkway to the beach and the shops when they had tables inside the restaurant facing the beach. I would have preferred that to all the people walking past us. As far as the food goes, it was okay. Since we were staying in Sorrento, the drive was about an hour and we felt the restaurants in Sorrento were just as good if not better than this one.

Our van picked us up on time and we stopped to pick up one more group. We arrived in Positano at the top and were guided by our tour guide to the very bottom as we were passing all of the shopping. She did not explain to us where she was taking us. It was not a tour but she could have at least introduced the town of Positano. When we arrived at the bottom she then informed us that we had one hour of free time and we were to meet at that location so we can go on to the pre-arranged restaurant which was mediocre at best. We then had to walk all the way back to the top to begin our shopping. It would have made more sense to leave us at the top and explain or give us a card with the restaurant information. In the future it might have been better to just hire a cab walk around and shop and choose your own restaurant.

We had a very memorable night. A local guide drove us to Positano who was very passionate about his job and very proud of his local towns. He was a very good driver, Negotiating some scary parts of the Amalfi coastline. The beach-restaurant we ate at served lovely food. Shops were very pretty.

Company we had to confirm tour with was hard to get hold of and we were picked up 30min after scheduled pickup time. After 15min driving we were placed inanother car ?as to why. New driver had NO clue what tour was so I had to contact tour agency so they could speak to him-people we met were lovely.
