There's no tour like it in Edinburgh! A walking tour specifically around the history of the coffee trade in Scotland, visiting the sites of the original historic coffee houses in Edinburgh - and exclusive access to what was once "John's Coffee House" where we finish the tour with a coffee in an 18th Century meeting point for philosophers, pirates, and prosecutors alike. Come see an underground section of Edinburgh that hasn't been open to the public for almost 200 years!
During the experience, we'll visit the sites where the ancient coffee houses of Edinburgh used to be before the great fire changed the landscape of the Old Town forever, whilst we tell you some stories of the history of coffee, and how the coffee trade grew to what it is today.

Lovely coffee, great stories. Jackie is a coffee enthusiast and it shows.
The whole setting at the Lost Close is brilliant.

We loved this tour! Had no idea what to expect and it far exceeded our expectations. We learned a lot, laughed along the way, enjoyed delicious coffee, and got to experience a unique surprise at the end. So much fun…you’ll be glad you said yes to this tour!

In 90 minutes I got a lot of information about coffee in Edinburgh since early 1700. Sarah is a great storyteller. She showed lovely places and especially their own Lost Close! And 2 cups of lovely coffee.

Very unique! James is a great story teller. This was our first experience in Edinburgh and it was the perfect way to start the day.

The tour was canceled because the guide was ill and the tour operator didn’t have anyone to replace them.

Our guide was definitely the best part of our tour. A very knowledgable and friendly lady with a cosy presence. Has a wide range of knowledge about various topics and was happy to talk about other aspects of history but always naturally came back to the subjects relating to the coffee tour. 5 stars!

Fabulous tour. Just the right amount of information and humour. Two free drinks (even tea!). Really interesting and engaging. One of the few tours that I’ve not been bored at some point. Didn’t walk too far but covered the best bits above and below ground!
