WHAT TO EXPECT

Our first stop will Our first stop will be at the iconic Ile aux Cerfs Island for a 45-Minutes visit and refreshments. We will then head to Grand River South East to enjoy the view of a waterfall that flows into the Indian Ocean.

Also known as Ile aux Fouquets, Ile Phare was amongst the first ones to be discovered in 1598 by the Dutch settlers. L'Ile Phare bears its name by virtue of a lighthouse built in 1864, which was still operational until beginning of the 20th century. Historically, Ile au Phare, situated within the bay of Mahébourg has fulfilled a strategic purpose during the naval battles at Grand Port.

After your visit to the Blue Bay Marine Park, we will pass by to Ile aux Aigrettes for some refreshments. The all-inclusive open bar is now open! Ile aux Aigrettes is an islet off the south-east coast of Mauritius. It functions as a nature reserve and a scientific research station. It is also a popular visitors attraction - both for tourists and for Mauritians.

You will have your snokelling session at the Blue Bay Marine Park or near Ilot Mangenie (depending on weather conditions and coral breeding season). Located in the south-east of the island, Blue Bay was declared a national park in 1997 before being designated as a wetland site under the Ramsar Convention on Wetlands of International Importance in 2008. The marine park is renowned for its remarkable coral garden, which harbours hundreds of varieties of corals and its abundant fauna. Close to the coastline, the site offers ideal conditions for snorkelling with a rich biodiversity as well as calm and shallow sea-water!

Ile de la Passe is a rocky islet in the bay off Grand Port on the island of Mauritius. Between 20 and 25 August 1810, during the British campaign to capture the island (then called Isle de France) from the French, it was the scene of the Battle of Grand Port. This was a long and very hard-fought action between roughly equal forces of French and British frigates and, on balance, a defeat for the British, who lost four frigates, though one of these was subsequently recaptured. There was loads more included (like monkeys jumping on the boat!) that they didn’t include in the description. Really lovely day and the people running it were lovely and kept checking we were all happy. Definitely the highlight of our trip!

Beautiful day on this boat that is fast growing with impressive sensations. Snorkeling spots allowed us to discover plenty of fish and coral. Lunch on deer island is very good. The advantage of this outing is that it is done in small committee max 12 people whereas we were announced 40 people for an outing by catamaran. Back through the waterfall with the monkeys.

Excellent day only 6 in our speedboat.
Saw turtles monkeys dolphins starfish. Waterfalls.lighthouse island
Tasty fresh fish and chix Bbq on beach rum & coke all day.
7,500 rupees for 2 adults
Book with mcloud Apollo Tours cheaper than Chris and Chris boats were packed!
Top tip only one toilet stop after lunch on island

The two of us paid €260 for the five islands tour with the speedboat. We were picked up on the day in question, which started badly. We were picked up half an hour later. After that, things went fairly well until we were left alone on Ile aux Cerfs after lunch from 12:30 PM and were not picked up until 2:30 PM. We were then dropped off to our next stop/island (4th) where no one was there because everything had been cleaned up and deserted. The boatman said that we could spend 15 minutes there, which was really not possible. There were many activities that took place on this island, such as parasailing, banana boating, etc. Unfortunately, we were not able to visit the 5th island. I contacted the trip manager and never received a response or apology. My advice to you is: better buy the 3 island tour and not the 5 island tour because you definitely won't get around to it.

Very nice day on a speed boat!
We loved this feeling of freedom linked to speed. Snorkeling with pretty fish, aperitif with your feet in the water, waterfall with the little monkeys, BBQ on the beach, everything was there, even a few dolphins!
On the other hand, everything is very timed and like the boat, very fast! We stayed 20 minutes on Ile aux Cerfs and the BBQ, very good, was served too quickly.
Return: 3:15 p.m. we disembarked.
Overall, we will keep very good memories of this day!

We booked the trip from the uk and what seemed to be included was not, transfers to and from hotel, extra 1800 rupees, less than 10 min ride, booked for lobster lunch, but payment not taken with the trip payment, lots of extras! Shachin our boat skipper was great and tried to make a good experience. Lunch was very poor. Footware is needed at the fort as the exit from the boat is extremely painful, so many sharp stones.

An excellent day trip, ideal for seeing the five Islands and some of the East Coast of Mauritius.
They picked us up on time from the hotel and after about a 10 minutes on the minibus transferred us to the speedboat for the rest of the tour. The trip is conducted on a speedboat so be aware you do travel at speed and it can be a little bit bumpy but lots of fun. There is lots of rum and Coke supplied on the boat (Mauritian coffee). and also soft drinks for those that don’t want it. Lunch was a nice BBQ buffer again with lots of rum and Coke and wine. The trip will definitely stay in our memories of Mauritius.

The trip was excellent, very well organised. We laughed from start to finish. Each island offered something different, spectacular scenery, monkeys, clear blue water! Kenny, our Boat Host and driver was 5*, funny, courteous and made everyone feel special, he has an amazing personality, he even joined our group for drinks afterwards back at the hotel! Best trip we have ever been on!
