On this 4-hour, private walking tour, expect to discover Budapest’s quintessential historic sites. The Hungarian capital is famous for its old-world, historic charm, which you’ll explore when you visit landmarks ranging from the Royal Palace and Matthias Church on the Buda side of the river to St. Stephen’s Basilica and Andrássy Avenue on the Pest side of the river. Though your itinerary is customizable, count on seeing the city’s top highlights and look forward to a coffee stop at a grand café, too.

WHAT TO EXPECT

We may see the oldest church of Buda Castle that's famous for its neo-gothic architecture and its outstanding beauty. The site is special for the view from the nearby Fisherman's Bastion. Admission fee is not included but will be highly recommended by your guide.

At this landmark, we shall discover the rich neo-Renaissance architecture of one of the world's most beautiful opera houses. Current constructions do not allow visitors to enter but the recently finished exterior presents the building at its finest.
3.
The emblematic bridge of Budapest is currently under construction and closed off of any traffic. However, it still emphasizes the view of the city, therefore we shall explore its history from a viewpoint.
4.
The most grandiose church building in Budapest was built over generations and stands gloriously now in the heart of the city. A building worthy to visit not only for its history and beauty. Admission is not free but it will be highly recommended by your guide.
5.
We shall explore Hungarian history by going through every piece of this landmark built specifically to celebrate the thousand years of the Hungarian nation. This site will introduce us to Hungarian history and the importance of Budapest in it.
6.
Alongside the ever-different parts of this castle, your guide will take you through this building complex dedicated to Hungarian architecture as such. Admission is not free but highly recommended.
7.
We shall visit the building complex of the city's most well-known baths as we explore its lush architecture. Entry is not included in the tour.
8.
Connecting Heros' Square with the heart of the city, we may visit parts of this boulevard offering us a glimpse of its rich collection of villas, neo-renaissance city palaces, cultural landmarks, and institutions. Known as the Hungarian Champs-Elysé, it is truly a collection of riches.
9.
We shall visit the breathtaking Parliament building and also mention-worthy sites surrounding it. The neo-gothic style of the parliament and the diverse architecture around it makes it an unmissable part of Budapest. Entry is not included in the tour.
10.
We will walk along the square that serves as a memorial site for both regimes that ruled over Hungary in the past century. The grandiose buildings framing this square also makes it remarkable for any visitor.

It’s hard to write a totally positive review without sounding phony, but try as I might, I can’t find a single negative thing to say.
Our guide, Suzy, was extremely knowledgeable, passionate about Budapest, charming, Interesting and interested, flexible and generous with her time and advice.
She took us to the iconic sights and local hotspots, on trains, trams, and buses effortlessly, jumping the lines with her various badges, not just speaking fluently but thinking with our best interests in mind.
We agreed that Suzy was the best guide we’ve ever had. Look no further.

We enjoyed our Budapest trip with Suzy tremendously! She has a wealth of historical facts and humorous perspective giving us things to ponder and research further. We hopped on and off trams and buses that allowed us to venture Buda and Pest with ease. We enjoyed our introduction to Budapest landmarks and architectural treasure as well as sumptuous pastry delights. We highly recommend this tour with Suzy!

Her English is excellent and she is extremely knowledgeable about Hungarian society, history and culture so she had an answer for every question. We had a fantastic day with Suzy as our guide. She went out of her way to accommodate us at short notice and assisted us with dropping and collecting our laundry, which we would have struggled to do on our own. The tour was interesting and gave us good insight into the history and culture of Hungary and its people. I can highly recommend Suzy as a friendly and professional tour guide.

Four of us traveling to Budapest for the first time, so we wanted to explore and learn about the city. We are so pleased that we booked this tour. It was perfect. Our guide, Suzy was personable and very knowledgeable so we had a fun 4 hours seeing a lot and not spending valuable time trying to figure out where to go and how to get there. It was a great experience for all of us.
