Magnificent church and abbey and as extra surprise the library designed by Leonardo da Vinci. We got a private tour from students of the tourist school which was very nice.

I can’t say enough about Andreas. He is an incredible guide and teacher. He realized that we were interested in understanding the rise and influence of the Medici family in Florence. And he really delivered. His knowledge was proven to be extensive and interesting.
He made it a very interesting tour.

Guide was late. Interesting facts on Medicci but not much more than one could get from reading the signs. Chapels are beautiful! Neighborhood tour really non-existent - a few word on front of church. Expected more info about the Medicci in the neighborhood. Tour was only 1 hour - not worth the price paid.

Our guide was knowledgable and friendly and arrived on time. He covered Medici and Michelangelo history and answered our questions. Having a private tour guide was a wonderful experience to learn the most and avoid the crowds. Thank you -

An excellent, thoughtful tour. Our guide knew the history of the Medici family inside-out and shared insights about why and how the chapels were constructed.

Andrea Baldaccini was our tour guide and was incredibly knowledgeable about the Medici Family and the relationship with the various artists including an amazing explanation of the portion of the chapel designed by Michelangelo. Andrea dove into our imagination of what the time was like when the chapel was built and pointed out the small details including the flawless colored stone pieces that looked like paintings. This tour is must just to give you a historic perspective of the who is who when and where of Florence's renaissance. 5 stars to Andrea and Caf tours. Our tour was three adults and did not include San Lorenzo Square but Andrea gave us a quick overview anyway.

Our tour guide Gabriele was fantastic! He greeted us outside San Lorenzo and gave us a preview of what we'd see. We went through the museum and the church, and then spent a long time in the Medici chapel itself getting a fascinating lesson on Michelangelo's statues. After that we walked across San Lorenzo square to the Palazzo Medici and heard more stories about the Medici family. Overall a great tour with a top-notch guide.

Excellent place to visit but the queues are long. Watch out for queue jumping. We had to fend off some queue jumpers who thought they were special and did not have to wait like everyone else. They even tried to justify their actions. Pathetic really
