The two lakes formed a single lake until about 1800, when a landslide divided them into two with a 2 kilometer ridge. Lovina Beach offer dolphin attractions like jumping and swimming, hundreds of dolphins can be seen in the morning time around 1 km offshore. Unlike other white sand beaches on Bali, Lovina Beach is of grey and black volcanic sand. Just as the nearby Pemuteran Beach, Lovina also features incredible underwater life to plunge in for those who enjoy diving and snorkeling. But the main attraction here are the bottle nosed dolphins (Tursiops truncates) who haved made this coast their playground. Dolphins normally appear early in the morning just when the first rays of the sun rise on the horizon.

Lake Tamblingan and Lake Buyan is where nature has been kept almost untouched, both lakes are the life source for the surrounding communities. Lake Tamblingan and Lake Buyan located at altitudes of nearly 4000 feet, this is the heart of Bali farming area, with coffee plantations, vegetable fields and traditional rice paddies covering the nearby slopes. Lake Tamblingan is important in the religious life of the local villagers who earn their livelihoods by fishing, farming and ferrying tourists and the devout by dugout canoe to the 31 temples located near the lake. Very little is found about these two important lakes in most tourist literature. Tourism is just gaining a foothold in this very traditional area, with most visitors going to better known Lake Bratan a few miles to the east.

Wanagiri Hidden Hill is the most popular selfie spot in the northern part of Bali. It is just a short drive up from iconic Handara Gate. It offers such magnificent view that you will never forget. If you love to find an “Instagram-able” spot, there is no doubt that you can find a lot of best spots here. The Wanagiri Hidden Hill has a lot selfie spots, each location has different attractions, from its beautiful human-sized bird’s nest, swing, wooden teacups, the bow of a boat, wooden stars, tree houses, an Indonesian interpretation of the Eiffel Tower and much more. All of these platforms face directly to Lake Buyan and Lake Tamblingan surrounded by shady forests and is a truly beautiful bite of Bali.

Ulun Danu Bratan Temple is set at lakeside with beautiful lake view and hills surround it, situated in the plateau area with cool atmosphere and hills as a backdrop. Ulun Danu Bratan Temple is famous picturesque landmark and a significant temple complex located on the western side of the Beratan Lake in Bedugul, central Bali. The whole Bedugul area is actually a favorite cool upland weekend and holiday retreat for locals and island visitors alike from the southern and urban areas, as it is strategically located, connecting the island north and south. Ulun Danu Bratan Temple, literally the source temple of Lake Bratan, is easily the island most iconic sanctuary sharing the scenic qualities with the seaside temples of Uluwatu and Tanah Lot.
