Dylan Kincla was an amazing guide, with knowledge rich in history along the entire route to our final destination! He was nice and prompt. It was also very nice on the ride back he purposely let people sleep if they needed to. Either way, he made the trip a lot better and had a story for every stop.

There are many tour operators in Reykjavik, most taking you to the usual places: Ring Road, the South Coast (where you find the Black Sand Beach and many waterfalls), Snaefellsnes National Park, etc. I am here to help you choose the BEST tour operator from amongst the many!
Reykjavik Excursions, and specifically Mr. Halldor Bjornsson, offers incredible value and a tour you will not soon forget; the other tour operators may be slightly less expensive but there is a reason for it - and you get what you pay for!
The tour group was small - only 8 of us - traveling in a luxury Mercedes coach equipped with reclining seats, USB outlets and WiFi. Halldor is one of the most informative guides we have ever had the fortune to encounter! He regaled us with stories ranging from the elves/little people/witches that are said to inhabit a certain area we passed through, to the cost of a one-day permit for salmon fishing (as we passed through many rivers known for that): $6,000! And where Justin Bieber filmed a music video (a plane wreck on Sólheimasandi) that made the place go viral.
His English is perfect (and he also translated in German) and he is a very kind and accommodating person. We learned so much during our 12 hours with Halldor (and this was after doing much pre-trip research on our own!), that we ask you to do yourself a favour and take this particular Reykjavik Excursions tour with Halldor! You will NOT regret it!

We had a fantastic day out and saw so many different geological features of Iceland. We also experienced the varieties of Icelandic weather! Our guide Inga was very knowledgeable and friendly. She was happy to answer questions from people in the group and made sure we all enjoyed our trip. I would definitely recommend anyone to do this trip.

The scenery at every turn was breathtaking. The driver/guide exuded joy and passion as he explained history and nature. He wove the stories of the sagas into the landscapes. We weren’t just looking at geological wonders, we were seeing the homes and farms that were here a thousand years ago. This day will stay with us for years to come! Thanks ever so much!

Dylan was my guide and he was amazing!! I know when training to be a tour guide they are given facts to share but the stories that Dylan shared with us were by far my favorite out of all the tours I did! It was a long 12 hour days but worth every second of it!! We even finished earlier than expected so Dylan took us to an extra spot on one of our stops! Again from start to finish I had the most incredible day!

Iceland's nature is simply breathtaking! The guide showed us beautiful places and gave us plenty of time for a walk and for photography. While we were taking photos, he gave us a few tips on which side to take photos from and how best to take them. He also told us some very interesting things about the area we were in. He was very helpful.

Our tour guide, Dylan, was amazing and was so full of interesting information. The tour was absolutely other-worldly beautiful. He also customized our tour around the weather and what would be more worth seeing that day. Highly recommend!

This tour was long, about 11 and a half hours, so be ready for a full day. With that being said, this trip was epic. My wife and I truly didn’t know what we were getting into but seeing the beauty of the west side of the country was spectacular. The bus was clean and roomy and our tour guide, Dori, was top-notch. The guy was very knowledgeable and was like an Icelandic text book in all the best ways. Highly recommend this tour!
