Transportation was right on time and efficient.....even with the changing return times based on volcanic activity. Highly recommend this transfer. Easy access to the bus station.

Excellent tour, bus on time with several options for return. Also allows for several stops on return including returning to cruise port. Highly recommended.

Bus station and bus were very nice. Communication prior was a little slow and bus times changed which threw off our day but overall a great experience and I would use them again 100%

This was a very different place to visit and was enjoyable. However, there were a couple of issues. One was that our departure time was changed from 3 P.M. to 5 P.M. and our return time from 8:15 P.M. to 9:15 P.M. They claim it was because of the change in the road due to the eruption, but other buses and tours were there earlier in the day. This meant we had to catch a taxi back to the cruise terminal instead of the shuttle bus. The other issue is that while this is a different and interesting place to visit, it didn't feel like a very good value. Overall, I would recommend it but once is sufficient for a visit. The price and remoteness don't make it something I would recommend more than once.

I was disappointed that the trip was cancelled at the last minute, i.e. the day before the scheduled event. While I understand there was seismic activity in the area and there was some probability that the lagoon would be closed, we were surprised to discover that friends who booked an identical tour through another vendor didn't receive an cancellation and were able to join the Blue Lagoon in full that day. The vendor told me that they'd already refunded my money and their offices were closed and that was the end of it. It didn't appear that they notified Viator of this action; I wished that would have so that we could've participated in this activity that we have been waiting years for.

The transportation to Blue Lagoon was efficient. The Blue Lagoon experience itself was fabulous. We upgraded to Premium so we could get a robe and the mask experience. The facility is set up to accommodate the crowd. The pool has plenty of room and the water feels SO nice!! Very unique experience.

We were looking forward to one of Iceland's iconic experiences - spending a leisurely afternoon soaking in the Blue Lagoon. What we experienced was a six hour ordeal for less than an hour of what was admittedly a pleasant experience. We caught the 1 pm bus but because of lava flows from a nearby volcano, the primary 45 minute from Reykjavik route became 90 minutes each way (180 total). We were dropped off and picked up at a remote parking area and not at the lagoon - adding 20 minutes of walking round trip over a winding path (my spouse moves relatively slowly with a cane). Then about 20 minutes waiting on the line, 40 minutes total finding a locker, changing and showering (shower required going in and coming out) in a crowded, fragmented and confusing locker room complex. By the time we entered the lagoon it was nearly 3:30 pm. But our driver told us that the return bus was 5:15 pm with the next one after that four hours later at 9:15 pm, which just about ruined the day for us. Not wanting to chance missing the 5:15 pm bus we left the lagoon before 4:30 to allow enough time to shower, change clothes and walk back to the parking area.
The less than one hour in the lagoon was very pleasant, but we felt stressed by the schedule that messed up the day. If Viator's tour operator had provided a 7:15 pm return bus (2-hour interval) it would have changed the entire experience for the better. The four-hour gap in return times was unconscionable.

Lagoon was amazing although visibility was bad that day. Couple other issues that we requested an adjustment but Viator did not provide... they canceled the 9 am bus without any advance notice and we had to spend extra to get a cab to get there on time. Then also it was not communicated that the main road was closed due to volcanic eruption issues so the ride was 1.5 hours vs. 45 minutes. Totally understand but communication would have been nice. Driver was awesome though and took us back to cruise terminal which was nice!
