Sure, you could eat your way through Venice on your own. There are cafes, bars, and ristorante everywhere. And, frankly, it's hard to go wrong in Venice. But, there is always something special about walking around to the favorite hidden spots of locals. Giada was a delight - she was fun, friendly and had a great sense of humor. We stopped at several places - had local cuisine, quick bites, some delicious dessert and, of course, some spritz and prosecco! We do food tours as a family in many places - this was by far one of the most enjoyable - AND informational. Gracias Giada - it was a pleasure!

We had a fantastic day with Claudia who hosted a private Food Walking Tour in Venice for us. I cannot say enough about how much my husband Paul and I enjoyed the tour and her company. Paul loves history and Claudia went out of her way to tell us all about the history of Venice. She even sneaked in a gondola ride for me which was not part of the tour. We loved every minute of it and I would highlight recommending this tour and specifically Claudia if ever you find yourself in glorious Venice. Thanks Claudia for making it so special.

Genny’s Venice food tour was one of our favorite experiences on our trip to Italy. Genny made my family of 4 (2 teenage boys) feel like we were walking through the city with a friend. She took us to many local restaurants with authentic food and drinks and gave us some history of Venice along the way. We tried a variety of cicchetti, cheese, cured meats, fried seafood, and gelato. Genny also pointed out many recommendations along the way. It was the perfect introduction to Venice!

If I could give this a zero, I would. This is a hoax. Do NOT book this tour. They didn’t confirm our booking and then didn’t communicate at all as we tried to figure out what to do about a late arrival when traffic and taxi held us up. It was a PRIVATE tour, so we wouldn’t be holding up anyone else in a group tour, and yet there was NO response to ANY requests for help to reschedule or any other options and when we asked for a refund of more than $300 because they didn’t respond or help at all, it was rejected. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS FAKE TOUR. Viator needs to honor their platform and help me get my money back.

This was the first time booking a tour "Withlocals" and I was a bit nervous. After booking, our tour guide, Giada, reached out to me with any food restrictions or questions. I was impressed and grateful with how responsive and helpful she was. It was so easy to communicate directly through my booking. The price was very fair for a private food tour booking for 10 stops. Not only did we learn about the food and drinks (all amazing and delicious) she shared history and customs. We would never had sampled such great food without this tour. It was like walking through Venice with a friend. I highly recommend this company and tour! Thank you, Giada for making our first trip to Venice extra special.

Our food tour with Claudia was on our first night in Venice. Unfortunately, after a long flight, our check-in was delayed by hours and were very grateful to have made a local meeting spot. Claudia’s kindness and support accommodated all our requests to make this experience a special introduction to Venice. Balancing the emotions and palates of very 3 tired teens, she shared wonderful insights and went out of her way to assist with our plans, and to reset a much needed first impression!

My wife and I took the tour with Loris. Loris was very good and can’t recommend him enough. He is knowledgable, helpful and easy to be with. The food side of the tour was interesting, Loris wanted us to experience several types of good quality local bites combined with a circuit around interesting sites and facts of Venice. Unfortunately the order in which the food was sampled didn’t really work for us, gelato, then chocolate, followed by fried seafood for example… Okay if you have a cast iron stomach. Loris explained that the order of seeing the parts of Venice dictated the order of the food. Hence why we scored 8/10, not 10/10.

The tour with Alexandra was amazing, she was really friendly and super knowledgeable with all things culinary in Venice. We had some great food and drinks while learning about Venetian culture. It’s a fantastic way to see Venice and Alexandra is a brilliant guide. Can’t wait to come back!

Giada was an incredible host and guide for us. We had just gotten into the city, and she helped set us up on a path for success over the next couple days. The food was incredible at every stop, and she helped provide lots of great recommendations for the rest of the our time.
