Thank you to Long for taking us on the food tour around Siem Reap. We loved visiting local street food places we wouldn’t have gone on our own, and hearing about Cambodian culture and food. Long also took us to a street stall where we could try some Cambodian desserts, and the Tuktuk driver was wonderful too.

I was on Street 60 and about two-thirds of the way through my street food tour with Long when we were hit by the first heavy rain of the season! The power was cut almost immediately, but even then Long "toughed it out" with me as I finished the dishes that had already been prepared by the light of our cellphones before calling it an evening (since the power remained off and the rain showed no signs of abating).
Even though the main road was flooding by that point, he still managed to find a shop that was open and grabbed me a fresh coconut water on the way back to my room hotel.
If I have the chance, I'll definitely return and try the tour again with Long... hopefully without the rainy interruption!

Tour guide did not seem terribly engaged. He had asked us to switch to a nighttime tour but our travel schedule did not allow for the change. The food was good but at times, not a lot of dialogue between him and us.

We did a private food tour with Long and a single day tour of Angkor Wat. Both were truly excellent experiences! On the food tour, Long took us to many local vendors and we got delicious food that we never would have found otherwise. As we ate and got to see the city, Long told us a lot about Cambodian life and culture. He also had great recommendations for other food spots to try the next day!
The morning after the food tour we did a sunrise tour of Angkor Wat. Long gave a great tour of the main temple and also showed us several other smaller but equally cool temples. Long knew a ton of interesting history about the temples and had many great stories.
We overall loved both of our tours. They were top quality. Long is also just a great guy and was a lot of fun to hang out with across our two tours. We would highly recommend booking with Long!!

Long provided an exceptional tasting tour experience for us. His hospitality was outstanding, and he greeted us with a warm smile. Long demonstrated remarkable patience and was willing to answer our numerous cultural questions, even those not directly related to food, which was greatly appreciated by our curious group. His extensive knowledge of the local cuisine, along with his openness to other cuisines and cultures, added depth to the tour. Despite the extremely hot weather that night, Long was incredibly considerate of my parents' well-being throughout the entire trip.
Overall, Long's tour was a delightful and enriching experience, thanks to his expertise, friendliness, and attentiveness to our needs.

We booked and paid for this tour in January. 1 month out we were advised our tour had been reallocated (because our chosen host was no longer available I guess, no reason given) to a new host, Samnang.
Two days ahead, I contacted the host to confirm (lesson learned from tour bookings is ALWAYS confirm in advance. Don't trust auto booking confirmations). We got no reply, acknowledment or even an in-app indication that they had seen the message.
I day ahead I contacted WithLocals directly to seek confirmation as the host had not replied.
Our reply was a generic "your tour has been cancelled by the host".
No explanation, no reason and no effort to reallocate the tour to another available host. (There was one who had a vacancy at the time our booking should have occurred.)
Really disappointing customer service.
We booked a different food tour with "Lost Plate" at short notice. We'd recommend booking with them instead.
We won't ever book WithLocals again. It's pointless planning and booking things when they cancel at very short notice without explanation or compensation. (I we had cancelled within 24 hrs, we'd have been penalised.)

This tour went above and beyond expectations! Our guide, Dorn, helped us experience traditional local food where we truly were able to understand a bit of the culture. We were curious about other food along the way and he was more than happy to add to the experience. Apart from the main dishes that were planned, we went out of our comfort zones and tried some insects! It was definitely an experience I will never forget.

My fiancé and I had a lot of fun on this afternoon tour with Dorn. From eating delicious food from street vendor / local restaurants / markets, to visiting one of my favorite pagodas in Siem Reap, and navigating through the Old Market, were all truly amazing experiences. Dorn, who has great knowledge of the city/culture/food/religion, made the tour fun. Dorn also adjusted our tour time to ensure we would enjoy our beautiful walk around the city. I highly recommend booking with Dorn. :)
