This cooking class and market tour are our most popular offering. Together, the tour and the class take approximately four hours. The tour starts with accompanying our chefs to the world famous La Boqueria market, located nearby. During this 'behind the scenes' guided tour, you will meet many vendors, some of whom have been there for generations. You will learn about locally grown products and participate in the selection of ingredients that will be used later in the cooking class. Upon returning to our kitchen, you will begin preparing the four course menu. All our classes are designed for every skill level and are taught by professionally trained bilingual chefs. The classes provide a fun, social, hands-on experience, where you will be participating in the preparation of the various dishes under the thoughtful guidance of our chef instructors. Unlimited wines are included. All our menus can be adapted to accommodate any food restriction you may have, vegan included.

This was a fun experience. My boyfriend is an executive chef & he also loved this experience. We learned new things that we will be cooking in the future. Juan (our amazing chef instructor) was fun & entertaining. The food was so good!

My wife and I added this Paella cooking class to our short stay in Barcelona and felt it was a highlight of our trip!
The class was held in a convenient and bright location just off La Rambla and the instructor was friendly, inviting and a lot of fun. Meeting other guests from around the world (Europe, Australia and United States) added to the positive atmosphere of the evening.
The ingredients were all fresh, the wine was delicious and plentiful and we learned a lot about the local culture in addition to gaining immediately-applicable cooking skills.
The overall cost was essentially the same as a nice dinner and so the added enjoyment of interacting with locals and learning about Barcelona’s culture made the event a repeatable activity. (We were also happy to obtain the recipes and intend to replicate the meals at home!)

We loved this experience. Renata was our chef and host, she is an absolute gem. We had visited the food market on several occasions but Renata’s tour enriched our appreciation and understanding considerably. We created a delicious lunch- so much food! Don’t be put off if you are not a great cook, this class is suitable for everyone. Renata creates a great atmosphere and after a few hours together the twelve ‘chefs’ had made great connections.

“Amazing Juan” took us to the market and we shopped to purchase fresh food and got us tastes at some of the vendors along the way. Then back to the kitchen to make the most delicious meal!! Great people, great food. Our best experiences in Barcelona.

I went solo to this class and had a wonderful time. Juan gave us a fun and informative tour of the market which included a sampling of ham!
The class was fun with each of us (we were 12) taking a different job. It was fun and casual and the meal, and wine, was amazing!!
I can't wait to try some of the recipes on my own when I get home.
Highly recommend for anyone! Kids, families, partners. There's something for everyone.

An amazing experience. Definitely our favorite day of our trip. I learned a lot, but most of all I felt like our group became a little family who were all pitching in to make a big holiday meal. Plenty of good wine too.

Lovely tour of the market! The cooking class was very hands on. We all loved it - myself, my husband, my 12 and 16 year olds. My kids were the only kids in the group of 12 but we put them on a vegetable chopping station (not the shrimp deveining station haha) and they did great. Plenty of food and wine. Juan was a lively and gracious host. Highly recommend!

This was a much anticipated activity that we planned during our trip to Spain and it did not let us down!! Renata was an excellent chef and instructor from the start of the event when we traveled to the market to purchase the ingredients all the way through the dessert. It was great to meet people from all over the world and we enjoyed working with all of them in a very small group. I would definitely recommend this activity to anyone wanted to try something new while visiting the amazing city of Barcelona!!

Preparing the food and then eating it. We had a lot of fun, We were 5 in our group and each of us took part in preparing our lunch, as well as the other people in the group. Sonia was a great instructor the facilities were top notch and the food was delicious.
It is a fun experience to do when you want a break from sight seeing. I highly recommend this activity.
