Come on the only tour that has a Marine Biologist as your tour guide. They will explain all the processes involved and the unique conditions required for this supernatural phenomena to occur. Your marine biologist will also explain how this delicate ecosystem maintains a pure balance and what must be done to preserve and protect the Bio Bay “Laguna Grande." It is a very special place on Planet Earth! All gear, snacks, pictures and kayak lessons are included. Minimum age is 6 years old. Children under 6 years of age are not permitted on any of our tours.

This was a fantastic experience. It was a beautiful area and the bioluminescence was magical! Our guides were all great: Eli, Amaury, Noel, Enrique, Yadiel, and Natalia. We learned about the glowing organisms, and one of them (it was dark by then so I don't know who) answered my many questions about coral reefs and the environmental changes. My teen kids and I loved the whole trip!

I am one of two teachers who brought 15 high school students from Chicago to the Bio Bay Kayak Tour. We have done many things during the eight days we have been in Puerto Rico but several students remarked that this activity was the absolute BEST! The guides gave crystal clear instructions which allowed our students to safely and confidently have a fantastic time. (We teachers gratefully accepted a tow for part of each way from the helpful guides as we struggled while the kids seemingly zoomed past us.) As we sat on the bay waiting for darkness to fall, we and the students remarked that we wished we could stay for hours. Finally, kayaking in the dark was a unique experience that none of us will soon forget. Five stars!

I’ve been going to the bio bays of puerto rico since I was a toddler, and this was definitely one of my best experiences! Kayak seats were clean, and guides were patient, as well as attentive in steering us through the mangrove. They were pleasantly enthusiastic, (Guides were Noel, Yadiel, Enrique, Natalia, Amamry, and Catalina)

The event was so disorganized. We had to wait for 3 other companies to proceed before it was out turn. The guides wanted us to go into single file. It was difficult enough to move forward.🙁
The impression was a small route to the lagoon. Imagine going into a totally obscure route and paddle in the dark for 45mins to an hour! Then we are in the lagoon which is totally different than was the impression. We were there for 15-20 mins the back again but this theme against the current. At one point I could not continue since my blood sugar lowered drastically. One of the guides was extremely rude and shouted that I needed to paddle. No emergency help or rescue. Luckily another traveler had a a candy and I was able to slowly recover. Bottom line if you are not in shape, diabetic, or other condition DO NOT take this event! There is a glass bottom boat in Lajas that will do you better and not pay to be mistreated. Also fine print there is a 220 lb weight limit and they do weigh you.
