Was picked up by my female guide Dilek. Due to the Ramadan there was not many tourists so I was the only one i her group that day. We went by tram to our first stop which was the Dolmabahce Palace. Its beautiful and I loved it. They have the worlds heaviest crystal chandelier, crystal staircase, and the Ceremonial Hall with its magnificent dome. It is well-worth seeing the palace and I would recommend it. Then we went by tram to the ferry. I had 2 hours of views of the both sides of Istanbul and go closer to Bosphorous... Beautiful houses on the both side... It was a nice day and I felt great... Worth it!!! My guide told me about the palace history and sights during the boat ride with a great knowledge and passion.

After the boat trip, my guide took me to one of his favorite restaurants known for his lamb kebab. The lunch was delicious with a good talk about life.

I highly recommend my guide Dilek Acikalim Turka who with her knowledge, passion and humor gave me a fantastic day in Istanbul.

We had a wonderful family day. DIlek helped us a lot with useful and complete information about Dolmabahce Palace and the history of Sultans, their way of living, customs and about how Turkey became a Republic. Cruise was lovely and we got the chance to enjoy both sides of the city, Europe and Asia. Then Dilek took us for lunch at an excellent place where we had a delicious fresh fish, actually I would say that was the best meal we had in Istanbul for our trip. Then she was very flexible because we decided to go to the grand bazar instead of the spice market. Its a great way to get to know some of the beauties of Istanbul.

This was our last day of our tour and we had picked the Bosphorus Cruise With Dolmabahçe Palace tour to keep it easy on us. Our tour guide Dilek Türka promptly arrived at our Four Season Hotel and was very accommodating in making changes as we wanted to make few more stops. We had a extended tour of Dolmabahçe Palace and also got to see the soldier parade. We took the tram to Bosphorus Cruise and it was very relaxing. Dilek is very friendly and professional in explaining all aspects of the tour. We really enjoyed Dileks company and she was more like a friend showing us around. We wished we had more time. I would highly recommend Dilek to anyone planning on this tour.
