Very beautiful place in the center of Rio where you can walk for at least 3 hours to discover a large number of plants and trees, very natural layout sometimes basic, a nice quiet stroll a stone's throw from the hustle and bustle of the city, full price entry 70 reals.

The botanical garden is inside a large park with very tall palm trees and some gigantic trees. The orchid and cactus garden are also beautiful.

A small green lung in the city. I didn't find a queue to enter. There are no indications to follow a path, everything is delegated to improvisation. Better to take a guide. The route can be done on foot, or with a golf car with driver, or, but I discovered this in the end, by renting a bicycle inside. The park is worth seeing for the many plants present. You can see monkeys, toucan

Excellent tour of the beautiful botanical garden ! Erica was an awesome guide she narrated the history and other information in great detail. Highly recommended this tour when visiting Rio.

Had a private tour with Luis. He was knowledgeable about all aspects of the garden. I have never seen trees that were so tall! Great place to visit.

Guide knew nothing about the plants in the garden— nothing. He was not informed AT ALL & took time to spout conspiracy theories about vaccines being sugar and water.

Our guide was great, but the organization of the trip was terrible. Our guide doesn't own a car, so the tour company was supposed to send one, but couldn't get an Uber to come since it was a Carnival day. We wound up sitting in the hotel lobby for 45 minutes until one of the hotel employees drove us and the guide to the gardens. Luckily we were able to get an Uber quickly for the return to the hotel. The activity price doesn't include tickets, so that wasn't great either since the venue doesn't take credit cards or foreign currency.

I spent a grest Sunday afternoon at the botanical garden. Enjoyed the serene waterfall. There is also a place near the restaurant on Tom Jobim. Just take the Uber and bring cash for entrance tickets purchase. An oasis in the middle of the city.

Saw some beautiful and unique flowers and trees. Never expected to find a tree that was noted as a favourite spot of Antônio Carlos Jobim.
