Alfio was a fabulous driver, smooth and confident on the significant drive to Syracuse. He was great at letting us know when and where to go and helped us beat the crowds at each stop. It was a very warm day when we visited Syracuse, Ortigia and Noto and he gave us the perfect amount of time to see everything! We were lucky enough to go with another lovely couple, definitely good to do in a small group. The photos don’t do justice to the beauty of the places we visited, highly recommend this outing!

Our driver Alfio was excellent, very professional and pleasant.
This tour covers a lot without a lot of time. At the archeological park in SIracusa, we had only about 1:20 so got to see only a few highlights. It is not very clear from the park signage how best to get to the points of interest, so it’s hard to plan where to go. We could not see Archimedes’ Tomb as that area was closed off.
Moving on to the island of Ortigia, again we had about 1:10 and we lost some time looking for a WC. So we really only saw a few of the sights. It might be worth it to spend 40 euro (for 2) for a “bicycle rickshaw” tour. These can be done in as little as 30 minutes with no stopping or 1-2 hours with stops. However, you do not get into the middle of the island so you don’t see everything.
We had a very nice lunch (provided by the tour) at a restaurant in Siracusa.
The tour ended in Noto. Alfio had a “surprise” in the form of some tasting of local products at a store. Noto is a small but interesting place, but on the whole we would have preferred to spend more time in Siracusa and Ortigia and skip Noto.
Still, for a quick taste of everything in that region, this is a worthwhile tour.

Our tour guide Alfio was very nice and on time. It was a pleasant drive to each location. People should know that when purchasing this tour, you’re mainly buying the transportation which is very nice! But if you’re looking to have a tour guide and learn more information about the history of the locations, you should book a different tour that offers that. We had a wonderful day though!

Alito is a nice guy, but Etna People Tour Company should hire drivers with English proficiency if that is what they advertise. He was basically just a driver from place to place. The description said the driver can tell you in the vehicle about the antiquities and towns but he did not speak enough English to do that, and he could barely answer questions.

This is not his fault, this is the company not providing what it advertised.

This day-long tour was excellent. Our driver/guide Guiseppe was exellent. There were only 4 people in total on our tour, so it was super personal. We were given time at most of the locations to walk around on our own, and the driver/guide provided us with lots of information about each place we visited. Overall, a very comprehenisve tour!

We loved getting to see all the top sites, and some unexpected sites, in one tour. As the day began, we got to see a “puff” that became a cloud ring above the crater of Mt. Etna. We fist stopped in Syracuse and It was fascinating to see the garden (former prison) in the Syracuse archeological park and to hear the story of the Ear of Dionysius. The island of Ortygia was full of amazing piazzas, meandering ancient streets, and interesting shops. The lively market and spring of Aretusa were highlights. Our final destination - Noto - allowed us to see the golden limestone of the ornate buildings as the afternoon sun lit up the town. After a very full and rewarding day our trip home was graced by a colorful sunset as the shadows fell on Mt Etna. Giuseppe was a warm and gracious guide with a strong, clear voice so those with hearing challenges were able to take everything in. The small group size allowed us to engage in conversations with him and our friendly fellow travelers. We highly recommend Etna People for your visit to Taormina!
