This private guided tour is designed especially for people who want to see the interior of the island. The tour starts from Chania region and goes through gorges, valleys, mountains and traditional small villages.
During this tour you will have the chance to meet local people, learn about the history and the traditions of the island. Also, you’ll have plenty of time to stop for photos, drink a Cretan “Frappe”,fresh orange Juice and relax in the peace of the Cretan nature.
You will see olive trees, orange trees and avocado plantations in the famous orange valley of Chania.

An essential for Crete!!!
An extraordinary moment of sharing with Michalis who accompanied us to the Deep Ridge. Anecdotes, explanations, an immersion in the heart of rural villages, in sumptuous panoramas at the end of completely “off-road” paths but not for Michalis! Everything we expected from an outing with a guide but better!

We had the chance to go on a 4X4 outing with Michel for one day! A privilege to discover the ridge outside the tourist side of the Coast and to immerse oneself in the mountain, the cultures of Oranges, avocados.... Michel knows the region so well that he transmits to us the culture, the history, the anecdotes ! At lunchtime, a meal was prepared for us in a small village restaurant...a Cretan culinary treat where all the specialties were offered to us! In short...go there with your eyes closed...or rather wide open, it's so beautiful!!!

My husband and I took the Spirit of Crete guided tour with Michael. Michael's expertise was extensive, he looked after our well-being throughout the trip. We had an excellent time and the tour fulfilled all our wishes.

Michel was an outstanding guide! We could not have had a better time in Crete because of all he shared with us. Not only did we see beautiful beaches, villages, churches, museums, but Michel shared so much of his culture and family traditions with us...we felt as though we had known him forever after just 2 days! We took my mom, who is half Greek, for her 75th birthday and she was able to ask him everything and anything about her own culture and upbringing and relate on a different level. It was incredibly special for her. And the food! The special baked goods Michel would bring each morning were such a great treat as were all the Cretan specialties he told us about. Thank you for such a wonderful trip!

I had the pleasure of meeting Michael of Crete Private Guide this summer while filming season 6 of Star Foodies (the TV series) in Chania Crete. The experience was outstanding, fun and comfortable from start to finish. Michael exceeded my expectations with his 5 star service, professionalism, and his expertise ranging from food, to nature, historical sights and agriculture and more. Michael was there for anything I needed and beyond. He is always prompt, joyous to be around has a large network of people, places & things to introduce you to. He is always prompt and making suggestions and recommendations to better your experience and make your trip more comfortable, even getting behind the camera to take a snapshot of you when you need it!

We had amazing tour today with Michael. I was on a Disney cruise with my daughter and we did a custom private tour for 4 hours. The company was very responsive and easy to deal with from start to finish. He took us to orange and avocado farms, beautiful lakes, and gorges, and small villages, where we had one of the best lunches of our lives. Michael was friendly and told us a lot about the island and Greece in general. I highly recommend using this company.
