I had this tour booked for months in advance and even planned our itineraries around this tour. The day before the tour we get a last-minute email from tour operator that the tour was canceled because the chocolate factory and cheese factory are closed on Mondays, the day we we’re scheduled for the tour. The tour operators recommendation was to rebook for the following day or to get a refund from Viator. We were scheduled to leave the next day so could not reschedule. Very disappointing.

The Chocolate factory and Cheese factory tours were amazing. They were both delicious and the experience was so much fun for our family. The Appenzeller town was also wonderful to visit. It’s a classic Swiss/Bavarian town. Our tour guide “Terry” (Eleftherios) was super cool and funny and gave great tips about Switzerland and the towns along the way. Made the bus ride kinda fun.
Pro Tip: I don’t recommend this tour on a Sunday. We did that and ended up with a closed town. Walking around for 1.5 hours with no shops open was a bit of a bummer (which is why it’s a 4 star and not 5 star rating).

Our guide, Stavros, was amazing. He was very charming and informative. The views were great and the towns were beautiful even though the weather didn't cooperate.
