Our path will be on the Pietro Perugino Rafaello's master, Filippino Lippi. Domenico Ghirlandaio the master of Michelangelo in painting. We will walk through the history of the Medici and try to understand why the Renaissance was born in Florence. Why is the Medici family so important to Michelangelo? We will analyze Lorenzo the Magnificent and his brother Giuliano. At the Galleria del Accademia there is not only the Giant David..
Please remember that tickets are not included in the price, I will buy tickets in advance for you and you will pay me when you arrive in Florence before starting the tour. A ticket costs 20 euros, under 18 years old the ticket costs 4 euros but they must have an identity document with them. I can only take cash. Grazie

The fine print got me. I booked the skip the line tour thinking the ticket for the Accademia Gallery would include the entrance ticket. Once I purchased the tour, the tour group indicated that it did not include the entrance ticket just a guide. I needed to pay the guide an extra 20 euros per person in cash.

We really enjoyed the tour and even our kids (9 and 11) paid attention and learned a lot. We worried that it might be too academic for them, but it was interesting, entertaining, and short enough (~50 minutes) to hold their interest. One important note: it does not include purchase price and for 2 adults and 2 children we had to pay another 48€ (20€ for adults and 4€ each for children -- they add on 4€ per ticket for handling fees) at the meeting point. This was either not mentioned on the TripAdvisor page or we missed it, but luckily we noticed it in the confirmation email as you must use cash. I don't know whether you can buy your own tickets and avoid the 4€ per ticket surcharge.
Anyway, the tour was great and made up for the annoyance about the extra charges. (Especially because all the tickets were sold out so we wouldn't have got in without the tour.)

Excellent tour. Be aware that this is not the price of the ticket. The ticket is an extra 20 Euros. Our tour guide was fantastic and it was easy to find the group outside of the museum.

Bottom line, we had to wait. Once we purchase our tickets online through Tripadvisor, we had to pay the Elvis group another $20 cash in order to get our tickets. We waited in line for over 45 minutes. I do have to say, the docent was phenomenal and very knowledgeable about everything in the museum and MichaelAngelo. It was worth it it to see such historical items, but we felt a bit duped as well. Get there early to find the flags marking the different tour groups in the square.
