Very entertaining and educational tour with everything included, knowing the tunnels, places where they make crafts, chocolate, coconut calugas, wine and many other things, plus a delicious typical lunch, to end with a walk along the river and then by canoe.

Do yourself a favor and don’t book any of these daytrips from Saigon to the Mekong Delta areas like Mỹ Tho. We only had a limited time in the south but thought: “we must at least have seen this so let’s book a day tour.”. Trust me, you’ll not miss out on anything as all these trips are doing the same stops. Each and every single one designed on getting more money out of you. A summary of all tips/shopping ‘without’ obligation:
- Vinh Trang Pagoda: as soon as you get off the bus, they ask to buy hats. Nothing to do with the tour but just anoying that the tour does not care about this.
- Local women sing 4x short songs for you during fruit tasting and literally put a tipping box in the middle of each table.
- They ask you to buy the coconut juice on unicorn island. You don’t have to but it’s just weird if you don’t.
- The rowing boat tour takes 5mins, you need to tip both rowers. Bonus: (not kidding) even rowers on boats that you’re not even on ask for tips.
- You’ll try some tea & honey from the bees. Of course you ‘can’ buy to take home.
- Visiting the coconut candy manufacturers means another short explanation followed by plenty of time to buy candy.
Conclusion: DON’T book these tours just because Instagram & TikTok promise these beautiful boat rides. We went during low season and even then the whole thing is not worth it.
I give 2/5 only because our guide was very friendly. It’s really unfortunate her tour was disappointing because she’s a great guide.

Wonderful tour with so many unique touches, adventure, entertainment and local cuisine! Hannah was the best guide ever and so fun and knowledgeable! Great experience all around and very highly reccomend it!

I highly recommend embarking on this tour, and if possible, requesting Hai as your guide. He exudes kindness and shares a wealth of knowledge about his homeland, reflecting his deep love for it. Throughout the tour, you'll encounter a multitude of experiences packed into a single day! The journey from the city to the countryside offers a glimpse of the remarkable transition between environments. You'll have the chance to explore pomelo groves up close, interact with snakes (if you dare!), sample crocodile meat (if you're adventurous!), navigate the narrow canals of the Upper Mekong, and visit four islands. Hai ensures that every moment is enjoyable and enriching!

I had an amazing time with Anna and the rest of the group, exploring the Mekong Delta. From paddling in the Mekong River to visiting a coconut sweets factory and indulging in delicious local cuisine and snacks, it was a day filled with excitement. Van was an excellent tour guide, and I highly recommend this tour!

Convenient way of seeing a lot in one day but it is a busy day. Car and boat travel time between activities makes it manageable. Activities are very tourist focused so might not be the tour for you if you are looking for a very cultural experience

Me and my family absolutely loved our time with Max during our tour of the mangrove forests. Max went above and beyond to ensure that my mother was able to enjoy most of the tour, despite her having joint issues. He helped her climb up and down off the boat and was great at modifying the pace of the tour to accommodate her speed. Very kind and caring person. Thank you
