Obi was a fantastic guide, taking the small group I joined with around the Brixton market in a thoughtful and engaging way. Despite the rain, I had a delightful time, ate more than enough food, and learned so much about the historical significance of the market's African and Caribbean cuisine. Even on a group tour, he provided a top-notch personalized experience.

Touring Brixton with Obi was one of the highlights of our trip. We loved learning the history of the neighborhood and getting to see how rapidly it’s changing. He shares his personal experiences growing up there and took us to black owned businesses (and more!) that have survived and thrived from gentrification. Fascinating! And I haven’t even gotten to the food, which is so delicious. Literally rated one of the best things in my life! Don’t miss this tour!

We visited London as a family and wanted to do a food tour and learn more about the black experience in London. As an African American family, we loved learning about the mitigation of blacks from their native lands to London. This was such a treat and the food was AMAZING. We stayed after the tour to visit more stores and this made our day. This was our best experience in London. Obi is the real one. Book with him.

We loved this tour. Obi was a great guide. He was very friendly, knew the area well and was very informative. We ate very tasty food at 3 different places finishing with an outstanding fish curry and jerk chicken. A lovely way to enjoy some of Brixton.

What a great experience! Having grown up in Brixton, Obi is truly a local expert. He shared a lot of great information about the history and people of Brixton, the commerce, how the neighborhood changed, and continues to change, the good and not so good influences on the area residents, AND the food! Oh my goodness, the food was amazing.

Obi is quite probably the best food tour guide we've ever had. He's warm, funny, great with kids, and has a fascinating personal background. Here's a bit of a spoiler, you've likely seen him before. Getting a hug from this gentle giant of a man when we said goodbye, was the perfect end to our too short time together.

You must go on this tour with Obi!

From the moment you start the tour with Obi, he instantly envelopes you with his local Brixton insights, warmth and generosity. Be prepared...this is not your average, anonymous tour! Obi makes sure your group gets to know him and each other through actual conversations. When the tour ends, no one is a stranger.

And the food! Not only did we sample delicious Ethiopian, Jamaican and Nigerian cuisines, Obi finished off our wonderful tour by giving each of us a slice of Jamaican rum cake. Truly one of the most memorable food/culture tours you can take in London!
