This private 3-in-1 tour was everything we wanted and more. Our guide (Limbert) exceeded every expectation. He is professionally educated in Mayan history. Which offered us very in-depth and informative transportation ride conversations; highly detailed tour of the Tullum Ruins; and the best local cuisine (absolutely listen to his recommendations for what to order from the lunch menu).
Limbert was extremely understanding, compassionate, and supportive regarding my extreme anxiety of open water. He offered very thorough verbal and visual instructions and pointers for a smooth and successful coral reef snorkeling experience, while also going above and beyond with assistive measures to help me feel calm enough to partake in such a majestic and peaceful ecosystem.
After the sea snorkeling, I felt confident enough to brave the cenote without assistive measures...I was wrong. Our driver (Carlos) was kind enough to acquire a life vest for me, even though I had passed on one upon entering the natural preserve.
We felt safe and in the best of hands throughout this entire private tour, from being on the roadways to every encounter with nature. Highly recommend booking with this company, especially with Limbert and Carlos!

My fiance & I booked this tour based on all the 5 star reviews & it definitely did not disappoint! We did the private tour with Jhony who was exceptional - personable, friendly & professional, truly the best of both worlds. We did the Tulum Ruins, Cenote & AZULIK Uh May before returning back on route for tacos. I wanted to emphasize that I had ask to do AZULIK Uh May since we already had a cenote at our hotel. However, since we couldn't go snorkeling in the reef due to bad weather, we ended up going to the cenote as a substitute anyways. Let me tell you, the cenote was absolutely beautiful & even BETTER than our hotel's! Jhony gave the best advice, helped us gain confidence diving in & took wonderful pictures & videos for us. In addition, I wasn't aware that AZULIK Uh May was out of the way on a different path about 45 minutes away from our next stop! Jhony remained friendly and did not complain the entire time which I was in awe of since I hate driving long distances.
We are super thankful we had Jhony as our tour guide & will definitely be requesting him the next time we're in Tulum or the surrounding area!!

Left this tour smiling ear to ear and couldn’t stop saying wow! Tulum & the surrounding area is breath taking, and this tour will take you to some of the most enchanting spots around. Not to mention the education, food & laughs we got along the way! Ulises was an excellent guide, photographer and a well of knowledge. I also appreciated him checking in on how we were feeling throughout the day. Highly recommend this action packed, yet somehow relaxing tour! You will not be disappointed!

What an amazing experience! Our guide Ulises was so knowledgeable, friendly and fun, we couldn't have asked for a better experience.
We weren't able to snorkel the reef due to the weather, but they communicated with us quickly and gave us options of other adventures to add which were amazing.
Truly the experience of a lifetime and I can't wait to take another tour!

LIMBERT IS AWESOME! Our super nice guide picked us up for our private custom day in a clean SUV with great A/C, a cooler of extra drinking water, and lots of history. We started at the Tulum ruins to beat the heat as much as we could and it was nice not to be in a massive group of tourists. We learned about Mayan culture and history, and took photos for a bit. We walked back to the car to grab snorkel masks and went to a local beach. Some nice locals took us out to a snorkel site (a small group or two was there at the same time) and we saw sea turtles and fish along the reef. My favorite thing was a really young sea turtle, so cute. We were able to request a quick stop in Tulum town area to look at souvenirs and get a coffee (30-45 min was quick but plenty). Then we went to a Mayan family-run taco place down a long dirty road. The palapa restaurant had beautiful high ceilings, swings, and incredible corn tortilla tacos. This was right at our planned cenote. We brought our smart phones and towels down a steep ladder and were inside an otherworldly freshwater ceynote underground. (I felt a little anxious/claustrophobic but was still able to enjoy myself and am glad I went!) There was plenty of light and we were glad we kept our Tevas on just for peace of mind although the rocks were not sharp, just rough for good grippyness. Limbert managed to take professional appearing photos using our waterproof flashlights and regular phone cameras. We snorkled at our leisure and then changed clothes in some cabanas before heading back to our hotel. Our day ran about 0730-1430 and we fit SO much into it. We highly recommend a private tour with Carey Tours. It felt a bit luxurious and everything was on our timeline.

There aren’t many affordable options for taking private Cenote tours in Tulúm, but we found this one! Carey tours gave us some flexibility to slightly customize our schedule so we were able to see the three Cenotes we were most interested in. We had Johnny as our tour guide - he was professional, friendly, well spoken, and took many memorable pictures for us. Would highly recommend Carey tours for those who enjoy going on private tours.
