Neuschwanstein Castle Tour from Munich

One of the places you just have to see if you’re in Bavaria. Lovely views from local village. Hard climb up so glad we took the bus. As I’m deaf I did not hear the castle tour lady so just looked around. Our tour lady, Deysy (apologies if incorrect spelling) was great. Easier and clearer to hear and lipread. Interesting place. Could be castled out if we tried to see 2 castles in one day so it was a nice pace to be able to enjoy the local village (especially as the sun came out in the afternoon).

Our trip to the Neuschwanstein Castle was amazing.... especially the views and the pictures. The information provided by our guides, Thomas and Mark enhanced our experience; even with drinks (for a small fee) on the return trip.

4 star- Tour guide Dan was very knowledgeable; however, logistics seemed a little too much. Just to make everyone aware, you take a two hour bus ride to a village near the Castle…you break for lunch for about 40 minutes and the only restaurant that can seat you is a snack bar(lack of better words). The sit down restaurants have no availability. Then you walk up a street(about 6-10 minutes) to another location to buy a bus ticket to the castle, which is a long wait to get on a stand up bus packed liked sardines for a 10 minute drive up a steep windy road to the castle. Then you wait again another 20-30 minutes for your scheduled tour of the inside of the castle, which you had to pay another 20 euros a person at the tour office.

This trip was amazing and definitely worth doing if you’re in Munich! Our guides were Mark and Thomas - they were brilliant, very friendly and knowledgeable on the castle and its history, and they clearly explained the itinerary so there was never any confusion. Neuschwanstein is stunning and we also had plenty of time to explore the nearby village and lake, which were also beautiful. Would absolutely recommend!

The best tour I have ever experienced. Wow factors all the way. From Mark and Thomas coordination from the word go, hi tech approach to show the digital 360 degree walk through of castle with explanation of German fairy tales of castle murals and specially Thomas thoughts on German Artist l, king Ludwig. Kudos! 5 Stars!

Thomas & Mark did a great job keeping us organized and on track all the while sharing great info and keeping it fun! You will be thoroughly prepared for the experience inside the castle and learning so much history beforehand made the trip so much more meaningful.
