Come with us for 6 hours to Terezin; the city which during Second

World War served as a Jewish concentration camp. Founded in the

late 18th century by Emperor Joseph II. as a fortress to protect The Kingdom

of Bohemia. In 1940, the German Gestapo took control of the city and Terezín

was turned into a Jewish ghetto. Those who are interested in history of Second

World War and the Holocaust can visit with us the Small Fortress + Ghetto museum + Magdeburg Barracks. Tour could be operated in bilingual languages.

There isn't an easy way to get to Terezin via Prague so an organized tour is a good option. I originally had booked this tour for a Tuesday but on Sunday, was contacted to say that there weren't enough people and could I reschedule for Monday instead. I was thankfully able to accommodate this change. Overall, I wish there was more time in the small fortress and that our tour guide had led us around rather than joining another group. There were four of us and we ended up having to join a tour of Swedish high school kids rather than touring around with our small group which was disappointing. Overall, I highly recommend going to this site as it's so close to Prague, but perhaps not with a tour group.

Hearing the stories about the prisoners experiences in the prison was the most memorable part of my day.

Veronica was my guide and she was very knowledgeable and incredibly friendly. We had plenty of time to take a tour of the small fortress, ghetto, barracks, cemetery, and crematorium. The experience was incredibly humbling and moving. The ride is a short trip from Prague, it goes very quickly. Veronica was also happy to provide recommendations or helpful tips about Prague. The driver was also very good at his job and kept us all safe. I would recommend booking for sure, and am grateful for our wonderful guide!

Although the story is sad and difficult, our guide Martin was fantastic in his explanations. I liked learning more about this legendary place

The tour was full of history and was a life changing experience. I was disappointed with the tour guide and the time required.

The guide was bilingual- English and German. He did the tour in both languages which made things longer. Luckily my husband also knew German because I needed him to help translate since the guide’s English was so bad. It was incredibly hard to concentrate and decipher what he was saying.

Because he was doing the tour in both languages, he took longer and rushed us through several parts of the tour. It was disappointing to be rushed through a museum for 10-15 minutes. I would have rather not seen it at all and missed it entirely.

Our group was 7 people. It was an amazing day. Our guide was telling us so much about the places. A lot of information and facts. It was a really interesting day and well planed. It would not have been the same without our guide and his knowledge.

If the driver had texted us he was here we wouldn’t have wasted 30 minutes trying to find him. When we did he was angry and drove like he was angry. The guide was very knowledgeable but hard to understand in the van.

Visiting Terezín and seeing first hand the atrocities and unimaginable living conditions puts a new perspective on what we take for granted in our lives today.
