Learn the history of rum making on the island. Sample 8 different varieties of rum. You will also be able to stop for a few minutes at the on-site store. The store also has a bar that sells rum drinks.

Puerto Plata Central Park has become the most popular meeting place in Puerto Plata. This beautiful park is also known as Independence Square. This park is a national symbol due to its history, it was built in honor of General Luperón, who donated this beautiful park to the city of Puerto Plata when it was the capital of the Dominican Republic.

Fortaleza San Felipe is a historic Spanish fortress located in the north of Dominican Republic in the province of Puerto Plata. Is also known as El Morro de San Felipe and was used to protect the City of Puerto Plata from pirates and corsairs.

This is an Amazing Street located in Puerto Plata. Just for a walk or drink coffee. Umbrella Street It is a street with a lot of tourist attraction, such as umbrellas, a coffee bar with chairs outside so that visitors can enjoy the whole place, so that they can take pictures to remember, have a chocolate museum, a museum tobacco. This is a quick stop for some fun photos.

Fifi Jewelry Amber Museum is one of the most visited places in Puerto Plata. Inside, it hosts one of the biggest resin exhibitions in the Dominican Republic. The country has the most important amber deposits in the world; moreover, blue, green or warm honey colours are unique from this area due to its volcanic activity. Here, you can discover the history of this vegetal-origin precious stone. One of the most important stones of this museum is a 40cm lizard conserved inside a piece of amber. This resin can hold prehistoric fossils of plants and little animals on its inside due to its sticky nature, that turns this stone in subject of study. It is said that Steven Spielberg was inspired by this museum when he was working on his famous film Jurassic Park.

Del Oro Chocolate Factory is a great place to visit in Puerto Plata. The factory produces organic Dominican cocoa chocolate and is a great place to satisfy your sweet tooth. As you taste the various chocolates, you will also discover how the different machines are used to make the chocolate. The Del Oro Chocolate Factory Tour begins with a short film about the chocolate-making process, followed by a chocolate tasting at the end of the tour. There is a shop where you can buy a variety of chocolates to take home.

The Cathedral of St. Philip the Apostle in Puerto Plata (Spanish: Catedral de San Felipe Apóstol) Also known as Puerto Plata Cathedral, and as St. Philip the Apostle Cathedral is a cathedral of the Catholic Church that is located in Calle José del Carmen Ariza 36 of the city of Puerto Plata part of the province of the same name to the north of the island of Hispaniola and the Caribbean country of the Dominican Republic. You will be able to see this beautiful catedral, and take pictures.

Fabio, our guide was amazing. If there was something we wanted to see that wasn't originally part of the tour, he made it happen. He was patient and super kind. He went out of our way to make sure we enjoyed ourselves. He even let us stop to get food at a Dominican restaurant and it was really good but we had run out of cash! He helped us out my spotting us until we got back to our resort and we paid him back. A true gentleman! Thank you Fabio!!

Hands down this experience was amazing. We were gifted 2 extra stops and this was definitely a tour with great insight on the Dominican culture. Oh and the food...... phenomenal!!! Highly recommend that you choose this tour 👌🏾

Edwin picked us on time, with a smile and a pleasant greeting. He explained the rich history of the island and took to some of the historic places. Edwin and Francisco were amazing and very friendly. They took us all over Puerto Plata and saw all the mayor spots in the city. I would highly recomend this tour.

This was the best excursions we did while on our 7 day trip because our tour guides San Fransisco, Edwin, and our driver. They made sure my group of 13 had Ana amazing time and we went to all the hot spots. They were able to coordinate with our other excursions to ensure we made it on time and that was greatly appreciated. We laughed and made memories the entire time.

The city in neat to look at. Very warm though. Drink plenty of water. The bus drops you off with the guide and you do some walking around.

My family of 3 were on a cruise. Prior to cruising Edwin answered all and any questions I had pertaining to the excursion,
Francisco was the tour guide with a fantastic driver ( sorry forget his name)
Francisco gave a thorough tour and always volunteered to take pics of the family.
He was professional and very accommodating.
My family enjoyed the City Tour and give a big shout out to Francisco and driver for a wonderful first visit to D.R

It was a very personable tour that catered to our every want as well as need and everywhere the cruise ship tour was we were but even some spots the cruise ship didn’t go and at half the cost I would highly recommend
