This tour is private and takes us to know the history that helped the central connection between Porto and the Douro region.
Between telling the history of the region and a boat trip we will let Douro authenticity and friendliness lead your eyes. This is the ideal trip for lovers of photography, built heritage, wines and good cuisine.
After a visit to a Port wine production farm, where we will taste the famous wine from the region, there is a 1-hour mini-cruise on the Douro River.
Lunch will be served in a regional restaurant in the village of Pinhão before contemplating one of the most beautiful viewpoints in Portugal: São Cristovão do Douro.
To finish off in the best way we visit a small production farm with table wines, olive oil and honey. Here you can feel the passion of the people of the Douro Valley and the pride they feel of their traditions.

This tour was 10/10 that we highly recommend! It ended up just being our group of 5 which was nice. Alex was hands down the best tour guide so make sure you book with him. He was super knowledgeable, accommodating, and went above and beyond to give us suggestions on restaurants and bars in town. The wineries were also amazing and all the people were super nice. Overall a great experience!

My daughters booked this for us. I didn’t know what to expect other than the wine and Port.
Marcio picked us up from our hotel. He was polite friendly and very professional from the moment he picked us up.we had a fantastic day and visited three different vineyards.
Marcio was very knowledgeable about the local area, and our hosts at vineyards were all excellent.
My wife and I have told many of our friends to visit the Douro valley, and recommended Marcio and Excellence Tours

Excellent way to spend a day. The scenery is amazing as well the food and wine. Highly recommend. I certainly have a greater appreciation for the making of Port wine and Portuguese wines general

Fantastic private family tour of multiple wineries coupled with a relaxing cruise and lunch. Our guide, Hugo, was excellent and an encyclopedia of knowledge. He went out of his way to make sure everything was smooth and by the end felt like a family member.
