Booked trip. Driver arrived 15 minutes late possibly because picking up other passengers before us. Very small van with large people already seated. Small seating size availability in middle and back of van (smaller than the worse economy seating available in cheapest airlines ). Made decision to walk away from the trip as it would have been too uncomfortable to travel to the destination. Tour operator should have limited the number of occupants instead of trying to wedge everyone into the available small seating area

Guide was there to meet us on time, spoke excellent English and was informative during the tour. Ocerall the tour was very good and gave a great overview of the sights.

For what we experienced, I do not feel this was worth the price, and in fact, I discovered that our cruise offered the same excursion for less than half the cost. Our driver was friendly and kind, but the pineapple plantation felt like a tourist trap--a 5 minute walk where you could peer through dirty greenhouse windows followed by a visit to a shop where you could buy pineapple goods. Just generally felt kind of boring and like a let down.

Great tour hitting all the best spots to volcano, lakes, ocean views, a local cafe. Plus our guide, Carla, was friendly, spoke English well, and was very informative! She was a responsible driver and gave us much history too. There were plenty of stops to take photos and enjoy the views. Also went to pineapple growing operation.

The lakes were beautiful and the stops made on the way for pictures were amazing. The driver was fantastic and even made an additional stop the the pineapple plantation that was not on the viator description.

We never took the tour. It was a nightmare! Walked almost a mile to van after waiting till 9:15 for another couple that apparently went to a wrong meeting place. Got to the parking lot where the van supposibly was. After a20 minute wait for him to get the van he came out of an area and again asked us to walk to the van, only to find out the wait was because he went to pick up the late couple. We are disabled and that couple that was late and picked up took the front seats and refused to move. Being disabled, we couldn't crawl in the back. Azores tours mgr refused to send another van. Would have been packed in like sardines. So they left us behind. We were there at 8:35 for 9:00, first ones there. Late people went and we couldn't cuz they refused to move to the back after they were the ones who were late and got picked up. We, the handicapped people had to walk and physically could not get in the back of the van where the late people were picked up couple should have been sitting. I blame the van driver. He knew we were disabled and shouldn't have made us walk, leave us in an area when we told him we couldn't walk anymore for over 20 mins while he went to pick up the late couple and gave them priority. Totally unacceptable the way it was handled. Never again!! I'm also a travel agent and send a lot of business. It was disgraceful!!
