Experience an authentic geisha performance and entertainment with multi-course kaiseki dinner, including an English host/interpreter at a ryoutei, or traditional Japanese restaurant, for a small group.

• Please advise any specific dietary requirements at time of booking
• Chair seating is default unless otherwise specified
• Children must be age 10 or older and accompanied by an adult
• Private dinner events for your group are available upon request (if selected option).
• Pending Approval: The dinner may need a minimum of 6 to 8 people to book. When you make a booking, you will be placed on a waiting list until more people have confirmed their booking for the same date, or you will be asked to reschedule to a different day to attend this tour. Confirmations regarding your booking will be sent at least 5 days before your activity date.
• For events with less people, the company may still proceed with the event and in which only one geisha will attend.
• Depending on availability (especially during peak season), there may be only one geisha attending the event. In addition, the venue may change depending on availability and group size.
• Non-Smoking: All seats are non-smoking; there are designated areas outside for those who would like to smoke.
• If you want to do private geisha event, we recommend booking 2 geisha for more than 5 people.
• All-you-can-drink Option: For groups of 10 or more people, nomihodai (all-you-can-drink) is available at 2900 JPY per person, payable in cash at the venue. At the time of booking, please let Japan Awaits know that you would like to include nomihodai (all-you-can-drink). For groups of 9 or less people, nomihodai is not available.
• Moderate Cancellation Policy:
• 100% refund for cancellations made up to 4 days before the start time of the experience. Cancellations made after that time period will receive no refund
• How far in advance should I book?
• Preparing an event requires some time, especially if reservations for restaurants or other venues are required. We recommend making a reservation as early as possible. Ideally, it should be 3 months before your travel date, or 1 month before the travel date at the very least. We may not be able to arrange your event in time so your booking request may be cancelled and you will receive a full refund.
• The Geisha Experience is a group dinner for about 6 – 20 guests

Fascinating experience. We felt very fortunate to have the ability to ask questions and spend time with the Geisha especially since their numbers are substantially dwindling. The music and dance were special and playing the Geisha games was really fun.

Very good experience to spend a good and fun night 🤣. If you're looking for traditional experience and a taste of Japan, you definitely need to check this out. You can try sake and traditional food, enjoy geisha performances, and even play games with them. It was an unforgettable experience for me!

This wasn't just a dinner; it was an amazing event where we could experience both the food and the culture of Geisha in Japan. I joined with three other groups, and all of us had a fantastic time. Our tour guide was incredibly supportive, translating for us and explaining the Geisha dances. We even had a fun time playing games! I'll definitely be booking this again next time.

The dinner is it really worth. I booked it 2 months in advance and it's worth the wait. Our tour guide was Mian. He was really nice, helped and explained a lot about Geisha culture. I love the sake too. 10/10 recommend

There were two geisha's and they were pretty amazing. Loved the experience. I would recommend this to everyone! They answered all our questions but they still remain mysterious...

What an unusual and enjoyable evening. I can't remember the name of the geisha girl, but our guide Musuko Igarashi, both were excellent. Our entire group had had great time experiencing a different culture.

We had booked a private show. It was a wonderful experience. Both Kodemari and Ponco were great hosts, awesome musicians and dancers. The geisha games were fun too!
