The late afternoon when many of the tourists start to leave the city is the perfect time to enjoy a leisurely stroll in Siena, with the lights of the sunset. You will meet your guide at 5.30 pm at the Basilica of San Domenico, from there you will be accompanied to admire one of the most beautiful views of the city, the perfect place to take a nice souvenir photo. You will continue in the continuous ups and downs that characterize the historic center of Siena, until you reach Piazza del Campo, the large shell-shaped square where every year the Palio, the splendid horse race, of which your guide will tell you secrets and curiosity, you will then go up to the highest hill where the majestic Duomo stands out, made even more fascinating by the evening lights and you will conclude your walk in an elegant café where you can quench your thirst with a tasty aperitif.

We took a guided tour of Siena focusing on Palio history and how it is run now. We learned so much and were able to take a tour of the "Owl" contrade's home led by Elena Grifoni. The museum was awesome as was our museum guide, but we did not realize that we would be going below ground to see where the Etruscan people lived centuries ago. It was amazing! The tour was so important as we were there during the July Palio in Sienna. Highly recommend the tour with Elena and the team of Francesca and Martina of @enjoytourtusdcany when visiting Tuscany and on the ground in beautiful Siena. They arranged a beautiful flat for us just outside the city walls within walking distance of everywhere as well as an Elsa river tour and rafting trip with our guide Rudy and T-Rafting guide Sebastian. What a great trip!
